We are so pleased with these chairs; they arrived in perfect condition; the color walnut is lighter but we actually prefer it. We are using them as occasional chairs in our living room and love how their smaller size and visual lightness adds interest as well as functionality. The design is a a nice fusion of “Danish modern meets Asian arts & crafts”. We really are delighted with our purchase!

Chairs do look nice and they are pretty well-made plus they come assembled, but even so they are not worth the asking price, at least not in matte black. The matte black option looks good, but the finish scratches so easily that when I unboxed the chairs and took off the factory wrappings they already had visible scratches on the arms and legs. Any contact, no matter how light, with the table or other hard surface takes the paint right off -- you can even scratch it off with a fingernail. We are an older couple with no kids so these chairs get only light use, but I still end up having to apply touch-up paint to them several times a week because of the constant scratches. If you have kids/pets or people who use furniture hard, you are not going to be able to keep these chairs looking nice. In addition, the two supposedly identical chairs don't even match. The matte black finish is visibly different between them and the legs on one of them are almost 3/4 of an inch longer than the legs on the other. Great quality control, guys. That said, they are fairly sturdy and well-made and the design of them is really nice, they look great with our vintage MCM table. They might be worth $75 or even $100 each (if you don't mind touching up the constant scratches) but not $150. I regret buying them and will probably end up refinishing them. You have to pay the shipping if you return them and for us, it would have cost almost as much as we paid for the chairs to ship them back for a refund. So think carefully before purchasing these, because if you don't like them you're stuck with them.

I love these chairs, they are better than expected. They are very sturdy and well made.
