I received the mat for my Thorens TD 2001 turntable via DHL a few hours ago. The first thing I did was place it on the mat and listen to the Dire Straits double album (Brothers in Arms, 180-gram virgin vinyl) purchased from Elusivedisc.com in Indiana, USA. I also attached my custom-made aluminum clamp, which weighs 0.44 lbs. What a surprise! Not only did the low-frequency sound improve, but the entire recording also improved. Many thanks to all the Amazon reviews I read about this 12" mat, which convinced me to buy it too.
