Chicwe Women's Stretch Lined Plus Size Lace Shift Dress Midi Length 3/4 Sleeves with Lace Hem and Cuff

I bought this dress for our annual Christmas luncheon for the office. I always need something comfortable so I can handle the Board meetings that take place the same day (set up/maintain/breakdown), but has to be dressy enough for our luncheon. This dress was perfect! The red is a little deeper than it looks on the screen - not quite as dark as burgundy... but not as bright a red as it looks on screen. Maybe more a "claret"? Regardless, it is a beautiful color. The dress itself has the lace overlay, which is soooooo soft. I will say that it will snag if you are not careful, but that is pretty typical of this type of material. The undergarment part was soft as well, felt similar to a jersey, but more dressy than that. As far as fit -- that is a little difficult for me to judge for others, as my chest area is pretty ample in comparison, so most dresses that fit in the chest are huge everywhere else. But this one did not seem as "tent-like" as others, but also did not pull across the chest. As such, I was pleased with the way it fit on me. Speaking as a chesty lady though, I will emphasize that you need a good fitting bra, only because the slight stretch to the material may accentuate any bra that doesn't fit well. Long story short, this dress is PERFECT to wear for a nice night out, Christmas or Thanksgiving (for those who dress up for holiday dinners), weddings, etc. It is very dressy and elegant, fit well for a chubby girl without making me feel like a frumpy person and I received MANY compliments. At the same time was so very comfortable and easy to wear. It is hard to find a dress that can walk both the "dressy and comfortable" sides, so I am VERY happy with the purchase!

I ordered size 2X in this dress to accommodate the bust measurement, but maybe next time I'll just go 1X for a bit more form fitting in the rest of the bodice. I am 5'9" and the dress reaches just below my knees.Every woman needs an all-red dress and this dress fits the bill and then some! I gotta say though, I felt like I was wearing a nightgown when I wore this dress-- maybe I like wearing nightgowns though. I did wear a slip, because the red lining under the lace is the dress itself and I did not want that clinging to undergarments.I had been eyeing this dress for a few weeks and finally took the plunge to wear a to work event and received many compliments on the color and lace design. I felt comfortable enough to eat in this dress too, so that's the advantage of it being a bit loose on my body. The dress is cut with a little shape for the waist and the appropriate darts at the bustline to allow projection there.Cheers - iShar

I bought this to wear at my daughter's wedding. I loved the softness. I loved the lace design. It was unique, but not outdated. The lace overlay made the dress really special. I got TONS of compliments wearing it. Super comfortable!! It felt like wearing a comfy t-shirt. I wish I would have had time to try a smaller size as it was quite loose. The only downside was the underdress sheath was shorter than expected, but the overlay lace was long. So I was showing a lot more leg through the lace than I had wanted. I thought the underdress would come to my knee, but it was above the knee by quite a bit. If I sat down, I was constantly pulling it over my knees, but thanks to the stretch it wasn't a problem! If I raised my arms to hug someone, the underdress came WAY up and showed most of my leg. Otherwise, I'd buy this again!

I purchased this dress to wear to a funeral. The first dress which is the same was a size smaller. This second dress is a size larger and they fit the same in the mid section a little snug. Comfortable every were else. I will be honest the dress is beautiful, love the design, material is soft and airy. I will have to put on Spanx which is what I didn't want to do. Real plus size models should be used for measurements that have problem areas such as bust and mid section. Put extra material in that area before sewing. I'll put on a pair of control top pantyhose that should help. I'm going to keep it, I can conceal that problem area. I'm still going to rate it a five star. I can work on that area myself also. The model wearing the dress doesn't look like a plus size woman.

This one isn't my style, I bought it as a gift for my Mom, but it looks classic on her. The lace far exceeded what I expected. It's not your typical cheap chemical lace rather well made woven broad lace. As someone who makes such things I was actually impressed. This isn't a dress with a lot of give. If you want extra space to move buy it a size up, it fits you as sized, but it fits beautifully. She looks elegant in it. We purchased the red and it is as seen on the screen , a dark classic ruby red. Paired with heels and jewelry it can be incredibly formal. With flats and a broad hat you're set for tea. Yeah so we're Southern Girls. I could go on and on , but I think you get the point. This is a keeper.

I purchased this dress in black a few months ago for my mother's inevitable funeral. The service was three days ago, and I received so many compliments on the dress. I'm 5'3" with an exceptionally large chest, and the dress hits me just below the knee, which was perfect for church without making me look frumpy. The unlined sleeves are very flattering as they hide my upper arms. I selected my size based on the chart provided. Very accurate, and while the dress fits perfectly, it has quite a bit of stretch making it very comfortable.If I could rate the dress four and a half stars, I would, because it arrived with a few snags and hanging threads that I had to snip off. Other than that, I'm exceptionally pleased with this purchase.

I bought this for my best friend's wedding. The dress fit well in the bust and waist, but was ridiculously short. Had to wear a backup dress to the actual wedding. Ended up trading the dress with another bridesmaid that was smaller than myself. She actually had to try on several undergarments to find one that wouldn't be visible.
