The birds love this!
I've lived in my current home for 20 years and summer has never been so dry. Thought my feathered visitors could use more than seed and they love this! Getting another as the birds are flocking to the bath. Quite amusing to watch.

Quality "metal" birdbath? Not really. . .
From afar, this birdbath does look nice, and it does serve its purpose. Previously, I used a deeper bowl for a birdbath/drinking container, but I always worried about the little critters slipping in and drowning, so I decided to give this a try. . . It is 14.25 inches in diameter, 4.5 inches in height. . .but only weighs about 2 lbs. When I saw stated up above that "Erva is the makers of quality metal lawn products for almost five decades," I was thinking this was all metal, even the dish. It wasn't. (Did the seller purposely ignore stating that the dish was plastic?) I guess I should have realized that from it only being 2 lbs. My error. The wire ring is a sturdy, black metal, which is raised by three short legs; but the dish which sits upon it is a very--and I mean very--lightweight number 5 polypropylene plastic, which is about 1.5 inches deep. That's good that the plastic is polypropylene, for it is one of the safest plastics (same plastic as yogurt, tub margarine and other food containers) and thus good for the little critters to drink out of and bathe in.And if you are wondering about the large sticker, if it is hard to get off and/or leaves a residue that is even harder to remove. I had no such issues. That large sticker on the bowl came off easily, with very little effort, which I certainly did appreciate. I've had some items in the past that had stickers which seemed as if they were superglued on and were a total bugger to remove--not this one, thankfully.Overall, the birdbath is functional and does look fairly nice, thus why I give it four stars; but I do wish the dish part would have been a little heftier, especially for the price I paid. Hard to say how long the plastic dish will endure the elements, but I am hoping I can get at least a few seasons out of it.*Note* To make it easier for the little red squirrels, chipmunks and any other thirsty little critter who happens to waltz on by, I placed a medium sized rock next to this for them to sit on so they won't have to get wet or accidentally fall in when taking a drink. Being that the dish is rather shallow, though, if any critter falls in, the chance of drowning is virtually nil. I just like to take care of my little friends and make their life a little easier :)

just what I was looking for
needed a birdbath close to the ground. the raccoons kept pulling down my taller one when they tried to get a drink.worried about it flying away in big winds when it's low/empty. Still thinking of a way to tether it to the stand.

Birds and other animals love it!
We have 2 of these in our yard, I just bought another one. Our first one is a little faded and the wire ring has rusted a little after almost 3 years, but we still use it. The birds love them, big and small, cats, squirrels, possums, all the animals have fresh water to drink everyday. I love the design, low to the ground and shallow enough for the little birds.

Would prefer if open box items weren't sold as new items
OK product but overpriced. I would be happier if open box items weren't sold as new items

Good Birdbath
Purchased for the crows that live by my office, added a fountain too because why not. Works well and seems sturdy.

Great for providing water to all the critters
It’s perfect for providing water to birds, squirrels, chipmunks and any other critter that needs some water. Even the ducks drink from it, the pond in the back is basically gone. I have another one on my apt deck and my cat likes to drink from it too. There really is nothing better than watching an animal take a bath and drink fresh water on a 100 degree day. It warms the soul

Birdbath
This bird bath works well for the ground feeders and an occasional squirrel will take a drink. One day I watched a raccoon plunk his body in!
