These are quite sturdy hangers but I was really disappointed in the small size, and I was unable to find this detail in the product description. I hope the following explanation helps someone.Whilst they can be extended, the maximum width the clips can be moved apart is 26cm (measured between the center of the clips). Therefore if you are above approx a UK ladies size 10, there is too much fabric left unsupported at either end of the clip and so the skirts hanging in the wardobe look messy and get creased where they are not properly hung. The clips are not large enough or strong enough to cope with any extra layers of fabric, so you cannot fold the excess fabric in. If you hang a leather skirt, you will need to use something to protect the leather fabric from the clip.Personally if you want to hang a skirt flat on these hangers, I would only order them if your waist size is 26-28 inches or 66-70cm maximum. They may take a slightly larger trouser if you hang the trousers along the center front and back crease and also fold in the back waist, but note that the clip may not be strong large enough to take the extra fabric.I hope that helps someone when buying these hangers. I should have returned them and sought a bigger size ut missed the return window.

Although this is marketed as trouser hangers due to these being metal(strong quality) and compact I purchased this for my child's wardrobe to hang all her dresses and now there's no more bulky hangers and very neat and streamline looking and lots of space ! And very easy to hang her own dresses :)

I have about twenty skirts so it's necessary for me to save space... Luckily these hangers are helpful! One hanger can hang on the other to save space in my wardrobe. Love them!

so glad I got this. A perfect way to organise my wardrobe because there is nothing worse than putting clothes on a hanger and they slide off so a clip hanger seems to be the only solution. I've used them all and probably looking to buy another set.

This skirt hangers really works. It doesn't matter whether it's a skirt or a pair of pants. The material of stainless steel is very good. No matter how you shake your pants, they won't fall off. The price is very good.
