I know this is not a glamour product, but when you need the right tool for the job, that's what you need. I have friends who have an older car that has a problem with leaking Freon. Money is really tight for them and they have to go to a garage every summer to get their AC recharged. It costs a fortune. If they only had the right connector, they could charge it themselves. Well, this is the right one! I bought this for them and they used it right away. They saved a bunch of money and they were able to do it easily. Worked like a charm!

I bought this valve/gauge to use in conjunction with a supco piercing valve to charge my refrigerator and it worked perfectly saving me hundreds on a professional repair visit and potentially thousands compared to cost of replacement. I'm extremely satisfied. While I only needed this tool to perform this task once, I have no doubts I could get many more uses out of it.

...But as far as the accuracy of the gauge? I don't have another device that takes the measurement necessary to know just how accurate the gauge on the recharger is. On a positive note: fits wonderfully on my r12 system.

When I got this I found out that it wouldn't fit the canister I was using it on. This is for fixing AC and not the refridgerator.

When unpacked the gauge needle was detached (see photos).Three stars because the fittings are solid and well made; if they fix the gauge needle it will be a great product.

I bought this thinking I could use it to recharge my Highlander Hybrid’s AC system. Did not work for Toyota systems.

One drawback to the item is the valve, not designed for self sealing R12a cans. Had to buy an adapter too.

I used this hose to service freon in my freezer and it held up great. Works as advertised and it size is perfect for working in confined spaces.
