After struggling with dull knives for far too long, we decided to invest in an electric knife sharpener. For the price and brand reputation, we purchased this sharpener. Works great, my wife went through the drawers, sharpening every knife she could find. Now, while in the kitchen, we can cut things effortlessly while avoiding accidentally cutting ourselves due to a dull knife.

Ordered on Monday and received on Wens.......I'm a Prime customer and this once again demonstrates it's a great value! I did a lot of online research on knife sharpeners and finally decided on this model because of the use of diamond sharpeners, It was reasonably priced and reviews I found on web were mostly good. In my research I read a lot of comments on sharpeners. It seems the expectations of many people that had negative comments were for a less than professional sharpening result. I even watched a video where a professional sharpened some knives with professional tools and then demonstrated their sharpness. He then used an electric sharpener and tested again to show the sharpener had dulled the knives.....while they did not cut different papers as simply as the professionally sharpened knives, they still did a decent job. Well I sharpened all my Wusthof knives today as well as an old set of Chicago Cutlery I no longer use that were very dull. These included both straight edge and serrated knives. I tested the knives using various types of paper before and after the sharpening. In the before tests most of the knives did very poorly. (I had the Wusthof professionally sharpened about 4 yrs ago). In the after tests they did a pretty good job, similar to the tests in the video mentioned above after using the electric sharpener. This is what I was hoping for. While not the perfection of a professional job, they are significantly better than before and more than adequate for my needs. And it's something I can do regularly vs the time and cost of going to a professional!!

I use Wusthof and Henkels knives. German stainless steel. A hard nut to crack for sharpening. No problem. Very sharp. the cutting edge is sooth as glass. Well worth the money. I would buy this again.

Easy to use just follow the simple directions. Used on kitchen knives, carving knives, on fishing fillet knives pocketknives. All very sharp. The quality is better than I expected and size is perfect for kitchen or garage. This is a keeper, well worth it.

First, if you are left-handed, you will need to use your right hand. Second, you must follow the instructions. You could damage your knives. I have top-quality knives and once a year I take them to sharpen professional. I got tired of paying the price. My older son sold Henckels knives and recently used a friend's Chief Choice knives to sharpen his knives. He was amazed at the quality of sharpening his top-quality knives. So, I researched Chef Choice Sharpeners and purchased the Model 315. It's important to know what angle your knives are before purchasing a knife sharpener. German knives have a 20 degree. Japanese knives have a 15 degree. So if you are enjoy cooking and need your knives to be sharpened, this is the machine for you.

I have struggled with sharp knife’s for a long time! They always get dull despite my efforts. I have tried numerous sharpeners without success, until I found this product!!! My knife set is better than new now! It sharpens quickly and is easy to use. I highly recommend this!

They sent with usa plug what is the point selling to uk if plug doesn’t fit to use in uk i manage to get usa to uk plug first use started to smoke i guess motor burned out first use what a waste of money

Bought this after buying a cheaper one "different brand" and was totally disappointed with that one. This on the other hand worked like it was supposed too. (so far). sharpened all my knives without a hitch. Highly recommend it.

The fact that it came from America with an American plug on it, this wasn’t mentioned. What is the point of sending this item to England and not wired up for England and sold on Amazon Uk. I had to go to a lot of trouble to send this back.. I got my refund quickly for postage, but had to get in touch with Amazon over 2 weeks after returning it back to get my refund for the item which I got after speaking with them..
