As a pet owner, I’ve tried a lot of carpet cleaning solutions, and most of them either leave a strong perfume smell that fades along with the odor, or they simply don’t cut through deep-set stains. This Shark formula is a genuine step above. The 48oz bottle goes further than you’d expect — a little goes a long way when used in a Shark carpet cleaner, and I’ve gotten several full cleaning sessions out of it so far. It works especially well on high-traffic areas where my dog likes to nap, lifting embedded grime and neutralizing that musty pet smell rather than just covering it up. Compatibility is exactly as advertised — no issues using it in my Shark upright carpet cleaner, and it runs through the machine cleanly without clogging or excessive foaming. If you pair it with the Shark OXY Multiplier, the stain-fighting power gets noticeably stronger, which I’d recommend for older set-in stains. My only minor note is that it’s unscented, which is actually a plus for me since I’m sensitive to fragrance — but if you’re expecting a fresh linen smell after cleaning, you won’t get that here. What you will get is genuinely clean carpet, which is ultimately what matters. Solid value for a brand-matched formula that actually performs. Will be reordering.

Hands down my favorite carpet shampoo to use as a pet owner. The formula seems to be very effective in getting pet messes or other spills out of carpet. The scent is excellent as well - im not a big fan of perfumed cleaners but the fragrance of this cleaner is just right and smells more fresh than anything. I also appreciate the value for the price. The container has a good amount of cleaner and it only uses a splash per each clean water tank.

Works really REALLY well and the scent is beautiful and not too strong, but lasts.

We have two big dogs and a cat. This carpet cleaner is a must have! It works really well. It smells good too. Smell is really important to me and it smells good, clean but not like a stringent cleaning solution smell. The bottle fits easily on our shelf and it is easy to use with our Shark carpet cleaner. I refuse to buy a different brand.

I liked the original Shark formula but it didn't do well with pet stains, so I was excited to find this. This is the only pet formula that has gotten cat/dog pee out the first time without any follow-up treatment. I've tried a ton of enzyme cleaners, multiple pet formulas, every diy solution, and usually need to come back and clean a second time after everything dries if the mess wasn't cleaned up within the first fifteen minutes - not always possible when you don't see it happen. This even took the stain and smell out of a mattress after the waterproof layer failed. It has a light smell that fades quickly, very tolerable when you're checking after cleaning to make sure there's no lingering smell. Works great with cold water as advertised. Does well on general cleaning also, and works with hot water for non-bio stains. I'm guessing it wouldn't work as well on bio stains if the water isn't cold, like most enzyme cleaners. Doesn't foam in the tank and lasts well. I do dilute it more than the machine recommends because I didn't notice any drop in cleaning power when doing that - I use about 50% of the recommended amount and usually rinse with a tank of water after cleaning so the soap doesn't stay in the carpet to attract dirt. Worth the money - it's the only manufacturer recommended cleaning solution I've used consistently without substituting others.
