NAVEE Electric Scooter XT5 Pro
Really impressed with the Navee XT5 Pro. It arrived with more than 60% battery charged, so it was basically ready to ride. I only had to screw in the handlebar, which took less than a minute. Bluetooth connected to the app right away with no issues. The pneumatic tires and suspension make the ride smooth, even on rough streets. I tested it the day after it rained and it handled wet pavement very well. The brakes feel very safe. It has three speed modes: walking, drive, and sport, and also a boost that got to max speed within seconds, which makes it feel really responsive when I want extra power. It also folds easily, so fitting it in my vehicle is super convenient. The front light is incredibly bright, so riding at night felt like I had a car headlight in front of me. Overall, super easy setup and a great ride so far. 👍

Ok scooter
This scooter has great speed and power, but the brakes are an issue. Squeezing the brake produces a strange noise from the disc and causes the scooter to jerk to a stop. Additionally, the handlebar is too high. An adjustable-height design would be a huge improvement. April 12, 2026 Update: The passive battery drain on this scooter is terrible. After sitting indoors completely unused for five days, the battery plummeted from 86% down to 47%.

ISSUES WITH MY INITIAL SCOOTER, WHICH NAVEE HELPED RECTIFY
SECOND UPDATE: Upgrading to four stars because Navee was kind enough to send me a replacement scooter after I returned my defective scooter rather than making me wait to get it shipped to their repair center and then shipped back to me. I appreciate them trying to make the situation right as best as they can. Still, I would recommend folks hold onto the packing materials for a while just in case there are any issues, as it cost me over $100 in new packing materials to ship my defective scooter back to their repair center. I will say that when it works, the Navee XT5 Pro is a lot of fun to ride and makes my commute so much easier since I no longer have to worry about parking. Just wish I didn't have the issues I did with my initial scooter, but I am happy that Navee helped to fix the issue. UPDATE: I finally got a response from Navee (they said my initial email never went through) and after some back and forth emails to prove my issue, they said they will eventually send me a shipping label to send my scooter to one of their repair centers. While I'm glad they're trying to make things right, at this rate, it'll likely be weeks before I have a working scooter, which I was hoping to use to commute to/from work. And it still doesn't ease my frustration over spending over fifteen hundred dollars on a scooter that stopped working after less than five times riding it. ***** I am FURIOUS. I purchased my scooter at the end of November 2025 and it arrived on December 3, 2025. I rode it only a handful of times in the cold winter weather and already, less than three months after it arrived, the scooter no longer powers on. It charges fine and there are no cable/connection issues that I can see. I reached out to customer service two days ago and they have not responded. I expected way more from a scooter at this price point. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Software really holds this scooter back
EDIT: Improving review for updates to software that addressed my most pressing concerns. The app and firmware for the scooter updated, which added the ability to start at 0 mph if you want, and they did a massive upgrade on the braking. Regenrative braking only comes on with more braking pressure, and they completely fixed the "lift off braking" issue discussed below. It's still not a perfect scooter, but I'm changing my review to 5 stars since Navee has demonstrated actual support for this scooter and I'm hoping that support continues going forward. I went from hesitating to reccommend this scooter to fully reccomending it if it fits in your budget and lifestyle. Acceleration and speed: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The acceleration in sport mode with boost enabled feels punchy and quick. It gets up to 31mph pretty easily and maintains it well. For this class of scooter, there might be some faster options, but this feels like a good sweet spot in my opinion. Battery life: ⭐⭐⭐ The battery was a little disappointing to me. For a nearly 80lb scooter with this large of a footprint, it really should have the range to back it's size and weight. In the most extreme conditions, sport mode with boost and lots of acceleration, I managed to get about 11 miles before it was almost completely drained. Obviously the battery life depends on how you ride, but most people getting this scooter will not cruise in eco mode at 12mph on flat roads. Braking: ⭐⭐ EDIT: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The braking is by far the weakest point of this scooter, which is a major concern for me since that's a safety issue. For one, the software in the app doesn't allow you to turn off regerative braking, it just allows you to adjust the intensity. The way it's set up is awful and dangerous. It engages full braking when the leavers are RELEASED meaning when you want to release the brakes, there's about half a second of slamming on the brakes that you can't control. It also sometimes turns on the braking only when you're almost at a stop, so the rear tire will lock up at about 5mph. It's like they didn't test this system at all and made it impossible to disable. The front brake also makes a horrible grinding noise right out of the box, which further shows a lack of polish. The app: ⭐ EDIT: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you look at the app reviews, it averages about 2 stars on the Google play store and that is justified in my opinion. So many issues with the scooter can be fixed by adding more control to the different systems of the scooter (braking, most notably). Also the fact that the scooter has to be moving at least 2 mph to enable the motor is annoying on a scooter this heavy. Give the consumer more control of their scooter, and you'll see those reviews shoot up. Suspension and comfort: ⭐⭐⭐ The suspension on this scooter is very stiff and probably tuned for the weight limit of 330lbs. I weigh less than half of that at about 130lbs and the ride is extremely bumpy and larger bumps go straight through the handlebar and don't keep the scooter stable. At this class of scooter, I think adjustable damping isn't too much to ask for, but it's not there on this scooter as far as I can tell. The ergonomics are decently comfortable especially for a 5'10" rider like myself with plenty of room for taller riders as well. Value: ⭐⭐⭐ Value is very subjective depending on each person, but for the price class that this scooter is in, it severely lacks refinement. It genuinely seems like this scooter is an early prototype. It looks great, but the controls and riding experience clearly lack attention to detail. Final verdict: a very tentative recommendation. If you want to use this as a commuter, I would say it is not good for that use. The size and weight make it nearly impossible to fit in a sedan's trunk, and the lack of refinement on the brakes make this dangerous when you have things like pedestrians, bicycles and sometimes cars to worry about. This scooter is probably best as a little off-road toy that is only really good for packed dirt trails without and gravel or sand. That's probably where it shines the best, but at that point a used dirt bike for the same price will be better in absolutely every other way. If NAVEE is serious about making this a competitive scooter, they should refine their riding experience and give as much customization in their app as possible.

Annoying anti-theft alarm
Great and fun scooter with 2 major flaws: - Range could be better. No, you can’t install the second battery as advertised because it does not even exist yet - if you plan to commute with it by train or bus, you can’t just lock and leave it alone, because anti-theft system won’t stop beeping, and you can’t disabled it!

Solid Scooter
Its very easy to assemble, but please note the 71 lbs weight and awkward to lift. Its not easy to just “hop on the subway” … top speed figures are valid, but don’t expect to see these on an incline.
