I’m 5’7” with long legs, abt 160 pounds, what size would you recommend?

Depends on your shoulder width. I'm nearly 5'8", have long legs and weigh 153. My shoulders are wide probably related to the lanky legs. I usually opt for large warm up scrubs in most brands, but the waist always looks crazy big. It sticks out far past the shoulders as though a person can only be round large and not tall large. It's nice to have full range of motion, however.

Would a small foldable clipboard fit in the pockets?

The right pocket is approximately 6 1/2" x 7". The left pocket is divided so much smaller.

Is this coat too warm for a hot-natured person?

No it’s pretty light weight :) I usually always have a fan going in my room and I don’t need it any more or less with the jacket .

Will this match Cherokee statement scrub pants?

I bought black and use it with different colors tops and pants.
