I have the black & gold and the black is matte on mine.

I'd say -yes. I measured & it's about 2 tiny small drops less.

Hi, The 7.28 inch (185mm) is the overall length of the whole Spoon. The Handle is 5.67 inches (144mm) Long and the Spoon just itself is 1.61 inches (41mm) Long. They have a great finish, easy to clean and shiny and don't scratch easily at all. Mine still look new. I myself love these Spoons, they are my favorite and I only use these ones now. I use them for everything, my Teas, My Deserts and anything else. I have tried the other ones, around 9 inches long, but they are to long and the handles get to thin to hold comfortably so I tried these are they are perfect for me.
