Frequently Asked Questions Are all of their products raw? While there are a number of definitions and opinions on what constitutes something being “raw,” they take it to mean food that is uncooked, unprocessed, and organic. They do not heat any ingredients here in their facility. Some of their bars are 100% raw, such as the Spirulina Dream and the Golden Cashew, while others vary in their raw content, such as the chocolate flavored bars which contain dutch-processed cocoa. Generally, the bars range from approximately 80% to 100% raw. Since ingredient sources can change and there is no legal standard for "raw," they do not claim a specific "percentage raw" on their labels. Are their products all gluten-free? Yes. Their ingredients are all gluten-free from non-cross-contaminated sources. Their facility is gluten-free, and they periodically test their products as a precaution. The Glo bars contain isomalto-oligosaccharides (IMO) -- what is it? This is an all-natural, sugar-free, low-calorie, high-fiber, gluten-free, low-glycemic, digestion-resistant, prebiotic, non-GMO sweetener. They only use IMO made from tapioca--not corn. Who is their kosher authority? All of their products are certified kosher by Rabbi Reuven Flamer of Natural Food Certifiers in Spring Valley, NY. Are their products vegan? Yes. Their products are all vegan, as is their facility. What about the Cherry Chocolate Chunk and the Almond Butter Cup? There’s a warning that says "made in a facility that produces milk products." The vegan, kosher, organic chocolate chips and chunks they use are manufactured in Italy in a plant that also handles dairy. They are kosher parve which means there is an inspection to ensure there is no dairy contamination. However, in the interest of full disclosure and consumer safety they have printed this statement on their packages. Some of their products which contain chocolate chips/chunks list soy lecithin as an ingredient. If you have a soy allergy will this affect you? Research has shown that soy lecithin does not contain detectable soy protein, so most people with a soy allergy will not be affected by this product.
