Mist is gaseous and will expand to fill the space, so if you would like a stronger scent, use the diffuser in a smaller space (and vice versa) or add a little more drops of essential oils. Where do I place the oil if there is no tray above the water? You place 3 - 5 drops of essential oil into the water reservoir directly. While there is a water component to a diffuser, it won't increase the humidity significantly of your space. How much humidity does a ZAQ diffuser produce? Very little. When used in the appropriate space (each diffuser covers a different square footage), the change in humidity isn't noticeable. General rule of thumb: the larger the water reservoir, the more square footage it will cover. See the diffuser specifications for exact room sizes. Do ZAQ diffusers leave condensation on the counter or surrounding surface? No - ZAQ diffusers are designed to keep the mist and essential oils in the air rather than on your table or countertops. They run safely and cleanly throughout the day. Please ensure that the space above the mist outlet is clear of any obstructions. Does the mist leave oil stains on the surrounding surfaces? They are designed to prevent this, however the use of too much essential oil in your water reservoir could cause oil transfer from the mist to surfaces. Check the diffuser manual for the exact amount of essential oil you should add to your diffuser. Are Zaq diffusers BPA-free? Yes, all ZAQ diffusers are made with BPA-free plastic.
