I don’t know where I’d be without this item. Seriously it’s the best thing I’ve ever bought.My toilet was blocked for 4 days. Didn’t know if to call someone and get a bill that I know would have been alarming.It’s easy to set up and use.the toilet itself was unblocked in seconds.Would very much recommend.

Tried to clear blockage several times but wasn’t untilI heard the whoosh that I knew the loo was unblocked. Worked well however the handle is metalAnd rubs against the porcelain so scratches it. Got yo be very careful not to rub it against the porcelain above the water.

Just understand that the toilet has been totally blocked for a number of days.I’ve poured litre after litre of chemicals (sodium hypochlorite/sodium hydroxide) down.... and left it for ever-increasing lengths of time (to be fair, at the early stages, the chemicals - after a day or two - cleaned up the effluence).I’ve poured umpteen litres of boiling water down.I’ve wrestled with a wire coat hanger.....All to no avail.This morning Amazon delivered the Powerful Toilet Plunger.. but, I have to say, reading reviews of many different kinds of devices to unblock a toilet, I was not optimistic.... The reviews show a divided constituency: half delighted; half utterly cynical.Now here’s the thing.About 1 or 2 mins to open the parcel and assemble the device.And unbelievably less than TWO MINUTES to completely unblock a full, nasty WC ... and allow the mess to drain away to goodness knows where. A few strong jabs with the plunger. No splash back.I repeat my sheer gratitude for and utter delight in this humble, simple, effective product!A humble suggestion: I used about 2 litres of sodium hypochlorite/sodium hydroxide over two days to break down and liquify the nasty mess before using the plunger. I suggest you might try something similar first.

Used successfully previously. Went to use it again and plunger section came off and lodged in the toilet ubend. Will have to get plumber out to fix it now.

I've tried several different tools. In the end this one works best to clear stubborn blockages. It can be moved back and forth and if this does not finish the job, then a final hard push will ram everything round the bend and beyond. A weak or frail person will not have the necessary strength.When assembling the handle with the head unit, they need to be turned and tightened fully. A weak or frail person will not have the necessary strength - if the head falls off in use it's because the head was not put on tightly ...Cleaning is easy by quickly twisting the tool during 2 or 3 flushes and plunging between flushes.Pleased that I've finally found a tool that works reliably and quickly to budge the worst blockages.

Luckily not had to use it yet
