Bought this case to replace the dart-shaped hard foam case that came with my violin, as this has more storage space, a shoulder-rest component, and a “hygrometer.” This case is very lightweight and does a good enough job to protect and insulate the violin. However, the hygrometer inside is totally bogus and does not actually work; the needle is permanently stuck on 70% humidity. I’ve tested it in multiple rooms with other string players who have genuine hygrometers in their cases and the one included in this case is 100% fake. Don’t waste your time with these off-brand Amazon knockoffs; Just save up a bit more to buy a genuine case from a reputable brand/dealer.

The box was really damaged, the hygrometer came off, the shoulder strap was broken and the bow holder was not holding my bow correctly.
