Perfect solution for a Mercury 15hp 2-stroke outboard
Works great on my Mercury sea pro 15hp 2 stroke outboard. It fits pretty tight ( which is a good thing), so I just put a small line of 3 and 1 oil along both sides of the motor's cavitation plate and it slides right on. The clearance is pretty tight, so just make sure the propeller rotates freely before starting your motor up.I miss my old Yamahas because of the ease of using the simple earmuff-style flush mounts- this does the same trick for my Mercury.

Works on Mercury 6hp
Tight fit, a bit of a struggle to get it on the motor. Plastic feels delicate, it works, just don't beat on it. Good for home use, but not frequent use. If you're looking for something to flush an outboard all the time, find a different solution. If you're looking for occasional use this will work.

Had to modify to work with Nissan 6HP
Only gave 4 stars because I had to modify it to work with Nissan 6hp. Was a simple modification, just notched out enough material so it would slide over the water intake below fin. Way easier now to flush motor using it instead of a bucket and or the flush fitting.

Trash
First of the piece is too small like by an inch. Second the piece is hard and no leeway. I want a return i will update later.

Caveat Emptor....
It could work for you but it depends.1) For small outboards, 6hp and less, it hardly stays in place as it's too wide. even minor water pressure and the thing moves around (could use clamps to keep in place but what's the point...?)2). it's fine if you're flushing a motor on land, and the motor is sitting perfectly vertical....but if you're at a dock and want to run and properly flush...forget about it...3) leaks terribly. not at the hose but along the cavitation plate.4) as others noted most outboards don't have a cav plate that's perfectly flat along bottom as the intake filter protrudes slightly below. so you need to modify via dremel.. but that will result in more leakage...so it's just a poor hack job.5) might work better on larger outboards or those with thicker cavitation plates. for tohatsu doesn't work
