I bought this mustard to use in a honey mustard chicken recipe, and it turned out even better than I expected. I used it as the base for the sauce (mixed with honey, a little garlic, salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon), and the flavor was absolutely delicious. What I really liked about this mustard is how well-balanced the flavor is. It has that classic mustard tang and depth, but it’s not too sharp or overpowering, so it blends perfectly with sweet ingredients like honey. In my recipe, it added a lot of flavor without overpowering the chicken. The final dish tasted homemade and honestly restaurant-quality. The texture is another big plus. It mixes easily, doesn’t get watery, and helps the sauce coat the chicken really well. I’ve used some mustards before that separate or become too thin when mixed into sauces, but this one held up great. Once cooked, the sauce had a smooth, glossy finish and looked just as good as it tasted. I also appreciate that it doesn’t leave any strange aftertaste (some brands taste too artificial). This one tastes clean and high quality. I’ve also tried it in a sandwich and a quick salad dressing, and it worked great there too, so it’s definitely a versatile pantry staple. If you’re thinking about buying it for cooking (marinades, sauces, dressings, or meats), I definitely recommend it. My honey mustard chicken came out so good that I already know I’ll be using this again. Helpful tip: I used about 2 tablespoons of mustard + 2 tablespoons of honey, and the sweet/tangy balance was perfect.

This mustard was good value for the money, and affordable, but I would say the mustard flavor is a hint less than the major known brand. Some people who do not like a very bold mustard, might actually prefer this. I find the taste just fine, and I would buy it again just on the taste. This was easy to use, and a nice size. I like that it has this type of cap where you can turn it where the cap is on the bottom in your refrigerator, and easily squirt out mustard without it having to hit the bottle to get the mustard on that end of the bottle. The cap also seem to be of solid construction, and not prone to breaking like cheap mustard brands. This would be pretty good as a hotdog style mustard, or on a hamburger if you like putting them on there like I do. But again it has just a hint less of a mustardy taste than the major brand in this category. The mustard seemed just as thick as any other type of mustard you expect out of a squirt bottle. The product I received had not passed its expiration date, and was fairly recently produced. I will definitely buy this again, but if this costs more than the major brand that everyone knows, I will buy the major brand instead. But I would definitely jump on this if it was cheaper than the major brand, with no regrets. I am definitely pleased with the purchase.
