S&B Golden Curry Sauce Mix, Extra Hot, 7.8 Ounce

I'd never had Japanese curry, and, after several thousand anime characters going berzerk over the stuff, I figured I'd give it a shot. Then I decided I'd give it a shot WITHOUT spending $25 for a serving at a Japanese restaurant. I did some research and was led to Golden Curry. I was advised to start with medium hot, so I wouldn't hurt myself. It's surprisingly easy to make a basic curry, and the Golden Curry cubes are easy to use. It was the blandest glop I'd ever tasted, and I've eaten school lunches! Enter Extra Hot. I figured curry deserved a second chance. And the Extra Hot is actually hot. I mean, not EXTRA hot, but it's at least got some heat to it. If you really like spicy hot, I'd recommend adding more heat while you're cooking it. The flavor is good, and I enjoyed eating it. It's even better over egg noodles than rice.

Fabulous curry sauce! For a Brit living in the US this makes the closest equivalent to a Chinese curry from a takeaway in the UK! Super simple to make too and very tasty.

This curry mix is packed with rich flavor and makes cooking super easy — just add it to your ingredients and you're good to go. The extra hot version has a nice kick without being overwhelming. I do find the taste slightly on the mild side in terms of salt, but nothing a little seasoning can’t fix. Overall, a flavorful and convenient option for quick homemade curry.

Good but not spicy

Yup, this one has a kick to it! Add some fried onions and you’ve got perfect fish n’ chip shop curry sauce. Yum.

Hard to find locally. Hint, mix with a bit of apple juice for a sweet & sour curry.

This was the most savory sauce I've had. Wasn't to hot at all. Very rich in flavors. Will definitely purchase this brand again. You get alot out of it as well.

Love this stuff, makes great Japanese curry with some heat, not too much. I am happy to be able to order here when our local Asian stores are out of it.
