I am a guitar player, but bought this for my elementary age grandchildren. I am very pleased with the ukulele construction, sound, attention to detail, etc. The only problem is that the link to the online free lessons leads you to a site where a poor Chinese-American soundtrack is dubbed over the original Chinese. The result of the lessons is laughable for native English speakers, and essentially unusable. The instruction booklet that comes with the instrument, on the other hand, is well-written and clear. The ukulele and accessories are quite good. I am quite pleased overall.

For a beginner think it is perfect. Appreciate the fact that it stays “in tune”.

Having so much fun with this TOM concert ukulele! The intonation is so good! Well above what you would expect at this price. The D'Addario strings that come on it are very nice and easy to play. Frets are perfect. The voice of this ukulele is great! And it comes with great accessories including a little booklet to get ya started on your ukulele journey. I really like it! My 1st instrument and learning.

All of my children are instrument players. So this was a great fit for my youngest who showed interest. The build quality is very very good. Much better than I anticipated. Tuning was a breeze and it sounded great. She has been practicing a lot. She has a long way to go but is making progress. The strap in comfortable but a little long for a 9 yr old. It’s definitely worth the cost being so affordable. It’s semi lightweight but also durable. She has been using the tuner it came with and like how easy it makes it.

The figured top and rosette give it a high end look. The tuners are smooth, as is the rosewood fretboard and light action making for easy fingerings. The back and sides are probably laminate, but the sound projects well. The uke includes pegs for a strap of your choice. A simple strap is included, but it hooks into the soundhole rather than taking advantage if the pegs for some reason. A surprising amount of other accessories: capo, wipe cloth, spare string, pick and a beginner guide booklet with a handy chord chart and some basic lessons and songs. The only knock on the instrument in my mind is the string-through-body bridge design. Feels like a real bone saddle and resonates well, but string replacement will be a hassle. Still a fun little instrument, easy to play, nice to look at with good tone.
