I have been trying to recall an example of the thickness of this syrup, but I can't think of one. Besides I believe thickness is relative, what can be thick to me would be not thick enough to you. All in all this syrup is pretty good, I have used it on pancakes, even though it is not maple flavored. I also used it in a cookie recipe in place of brown sugar and they turned out pretty good.

Has anyone tried using this to make pecan pie in place of Karo syrup?

I haven't used it yet. I got it to have on hand for when I start my holiday baking.

Does this require refrigeration after opening? Label doesn’t say.

I don't know if it has to be, but I did refrigerate it and it still pours
