This product arrived on time and as described. This worked out well for my family. They had never had boba tea, and there is absolutely nowhere in our area to get it. So, I took matters into my own hands, learned how to make it and made it for them. I chose a hot summer day knowing they would appreciate some sustenance and refreshments. It was the perfect answer to both issues. The boba was easy to prepare and turned out perfectly, soft but chewy in the ice cold milk tea. I went ahead and ordered a couple more packages because it worked out so well the first time. Definitely recommend this product!

As the photos indicate, the listing even said ready in 5 minutes. However, once I got the product and read the directions, it takes much longer. 1. Bring water to boil (5 min) 2. Add boba and stir gently nonstop until all the boba float (8-10 min) 3. When the pearls float, turn heat to low and continue to cook for (5-10 min) 4. Turn off the heat and keep lid on for another (10 min) 5. Remove boba from pot and raise it in cold water to achieve chewiness (5 min) This is why no photo of the back of the package is provided on purpose Brown sugar flavor, but there is 0 sugars if we are going by the nutritional facts. ¡Update! The calories and carbs on the listing are different than what's on the actual package. It also says made in China. Which isn't necessarily a problem, but I'm more worried about that being the reason that the nutritional info is incorrect. It could be the person who translated the packaging didn't correctly write it down. We don't know what's actually in this. But I made a batch of Boba and the next morning had extreme GI distress.

The No no no no! It clearly states "no chemicals" in the Amazon listing and yet I'm looking at the package I just receivedseeing what to me is a giant list of chemicals as the ingredients on the package! "Hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate, acetate starchcaramel, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, Guar gum, sodium diacetate, sodium deHydroacetate, edible essence (propanediol. Vanillin, Maltol)" 😤 I don't know about you but I don't have any of those ingredients in my pantry and I don't think you can go into any store and buy them so to me those are chemical. So disappointed. Back it goes. Here's what ChatGPT said on these chemicals: Hydroxypropyl distarch phosphate – A chemically modified starch used as a thickener or stabilizer. It’s made by treating starch with chemicals to alter its properties. 2. Acetate starch – Another modified starch, treated with acetic anhydride or vinyl acetate to improve texture or stability. 3. Caramel – Often just burned sugar (a chemical process called caramelization), but industrial caramel color can involve ammonia or sulfite treatments. 4. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) – A cellulose derivative used as a thickener or stabilizer. Made through chemical modification of natural cellulose (from wood pulp or cotton). 5. Guar gum – A natural thickening agent from guar beans. While less processed than others, it’s still a chemical compound. 6. Sodium diacetate – A compound of acetic acid and sodium acetate, used as a preservative and flavoring agent (especially in chips and snacks). 7. Sodium dehydroacetate – A synthetic preservative with antifungal properties. 8. Edible essence (propanediol, vanillin, maltol): • Propanediol – A solvent or carrier in flavorings. • Vanillin – The primary component of vanilla flavor, often synthetically produced. • Maltol – A naturally occurring organic compound that enhances sweetness.
