FCAROLYN FCAROLYN 3D Eye Patch (Left Eye) : desertcart.in: Beauty Review: I have amblyopia (my right eye is weak) and I need it to work more than it has in the past few decades of my life so holding my hand over my eye was not going to be sufficient. I also found out that I am not supposed to cover my stronger without the freedom of being able to open and close it. That was confirmed when I ordered a very nice patch made from cotton and silk. It felt nice, soft, was low profile but over time place pressure on the eye. So as advised, I began a search for a concave eye patch. I included an unflattering picture of my eye and patch on so that readers could see the shape of my eye and understand my comments about the fit. My eyes are big and bulgy and my eyelashes are long (especially since I stopped wearing mascara). So, when I say my lashes brush the inside of the patch it is to be expected. If all pressure needed to be off my eye and eyelashes then perhaps I would be unhappy. My face is small but it is not poking me anywhere uncomfortable or gapping out to let light in. Overall, I am satisfied with the product on first wear. There is no light coming through. It is not too hot (mind you, there is snow outside) and it is not letting the cold in. My eye can move freely - which was the plan. The Velcro is much preferred over the adjustable elastic as it fits even over my scarf so I can take it off and put it on quickly. The material is not all natural but I don’t plan to be wearing this gadget for more than 4 months (read Sight Without Glasses by Dr. Harold Peppard). I would not try to wash it. It appears like nylon glued over molded foam. So I think it could handle a spot clean but nothing vigorous. On the other hand if there is a lot of sweating or eye discharge I would be inclined to make a cloth sleeve for it or purchase the metal eye cover and rig it to fit into a standard patch so that I could wash anything that becomes messy. If I could ask for upgrades to the product it would be a more subtle color than BLACK - maybe a generic skin tone or grey - LOL. And perhaps more open curvature of the concave shape so my lashes do not brush against the inside. Anyway, if I notice anything uncomfortable or unsatisfactory about this patch in the next few months I will update my review. I find reviews very helpful so it is my desire to return the favor, especially when there is so much to question in an online purchase. Review: Es un gran parche, es muy cómodo y no lastima mi ojo cuando me lo pongo. Yo uso el parche por terápia. Puedo hacer cualquier movimiento con naturalidad y sin roces.

I recently purchased a concave eye patch to help manage my blind left eye against the dry weather, and it’s been a game-changer. Unlike other patches that press against the eye, this one’s unique shape allows my eye to move freely without any uncomfortable pressure, which is exactly what I was looking for. The fit is snug, and the lightweight material feels just right—no overheating, even when I’m outside in the cold. The adjustable velcro strap is a thoughtful touch, making it super easy to put on and remove, even over a scarf. It stays securely in place, and I much prefer it over elastic straps that tend to slip. This patch has made a big difference in my daily routine, providing the comfort, coverage, and convenience I needed.

Essentially, without getting into my whole medical history, I have an abrasion on one eye and it sometimes re-injures. When it's injured, I can't look at light sources (monitors), it hurts & waters, and I can't keep the eye closed while using my good eye because *that* hurts more. The ideal solution would be to keep the eye open normally but in darkness: an eyepatch! I ordered this eyepatch during one recent episode and it helped me get through the day since it let me use my good eye comfortably to work, read, and watch TV. There are two main issues with this eye patch: 1) The band that holds it on is fully adjustable and very easy to get comfortable HOWEVER the *EDGES* of the band (the top and bottom, if that makes sense) are not rounded *AT ALL*, it's just a paper thin edge. Over time it began to dig into the top of my ear in an uncomfortable way, as one might experience with a cheap pair of glasses. 2) It was hard for me to position the patch such that *ZERO* light got in. It was possible, but finicky, and routinely shifted out of place over time. I wasn't aware as I had never worn an eye patch before, but you really do want the patched eye to be completely blacked out so as to avoid any visual noise or weirdness. Overall, I'm glad I bought this, but I probably wouldn't buy it again. I'd probably look for something more comfortable and ergonomic.
