Fluval Quick Clear for Aquarium Water Treatment, 4-Ounce

I love this product!! I’ve been purchasing it for years!! My local pet store stopped supplying it because I was the only person buying it but I can tell you this stuff works you put it in your tank and within a few hours your tank is clear it doesn’t matter if it’s food residue algae fish poop or just elements in the air. It takes it all completely away. I have a 75 gallon tank and 150 gallon tank and I pour the whole bottle in and it works wonders I’ve tried to measure it and do that but for me it doesn’t work because I have turtles and fish and one aquarium and all Koi fish and smaller type fish in the other you also have to buy with it the fluval water polishing pads they’re white and the black one that’s cut in half if you use the system no matter what filter you have you will have Clearwater. In one aquarium I have two canisters and one that hangs off the back and each filter has the white polishing pads and the black pad in it and let me tell you I am so pleased I found this system. So if you’re struggling with dirty water cloudy water try this you will not be disappointed and it’s way way way cheaper than going to Petco Petsmart or your local fish store.

This was the first fluval product I bought when I had my fish tank, because my water was a little bit cloudy it seemed. I put the required amount as directed on the directions and the water cleared right up my fish were happy happy happy❣️❣️

I followed the directions in the bottle for 4 days and did not get any result with the recommended dose . On the 5th day I decided to just pour in the remaining half of the entire product, also poured some Seachem Stress Guard to protect my fish and then I threw away the sponge from my HOB filter and replaced it with quilt batting that is available at craft stores. You get a lot of it for very cheap price and I like it because I can cut it to whatever size I want. I doubled up the size of the sponge that was previously in my HOB aqua clear filter. I’m glad my goldfish tank is now clear. But I don’t know if it’s because of the filter I now use or because of this (not) so ‘quick’ clear product. Maybe a combination of both. Good luck.

We bought this product on the recommendation of our aquarium store owner and it was AWESOME how quickly this cleared our cloudy water problem. It really was amazing that by the end of the 3rd day the tank was completely clear. When we cleaned our filter and the polishing pads there-in we were amazed at the amount of gunk this product aided our canister filter to pull out of the water. I highly recommend the product, it is worth every penny we paid for it and I am so thankful our aquarium store staff knew their products so well and told me just what to order (they did not stock it but he wrote down the name of the product). We had made an error in the type of light to put over our newly set-up 93-gallon aquarium. We purchased a 1,000-watt plant grow light thinking it would work well because our tank is heavily planted. Our aquarium store staff was very kind and kept the laughter to a minimum. Within a couple of days with this light, we had a tank which resembled split pea soup! To get rid of the water bourne algae we bought a UV Sterilizer, however, we were left with quite a bit of very small debris which our canister filter was unable to remove. This product worked so quickly that within 3 days our tank was clear and when we cleaned the canister filter we were amazed at the amount of gunk this product assisted our filter in getting rid of. The polishing pads had to be completely replaced after only 3 days there was that much. Without this product, I think we would still have a problem with cloudy water. I will keep this on hand for if we ever have issues with cloudy water in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful product and the sped with which you got it to us.

Re-did my whole 60 gallon freshwater tank, all new gravel, ornaments, filters, water, etc. After a few days, the water clouded up a bit - I suspect that despite my best efforts to rinse everything, especially the gravel, there was some rock dust in the water. Sooooo I ordered one that I think I had used in the past, a well-known brand, and it made the water immediately VERY cloudy. Of course this was considered normal and was supposed to clear in a day, but over a week later the water remained cloudy so I installed water polishing filter media. This had no effect whatsoever. Update: After I then decided to try another brand to see what would happened and came across this one. I added it last night and within an hour it was already starting to clear. 24 hours later, the water is about 90% clearer than it was! Also, this was with new filter cartridges, WITHOUT the polishing media, so I'm amazed. I'm going to give it another day to see if it completely clears and dose it another time if necessary. Very happy with this product and the fish seem happy too :) Update: After two days I gave it a second dose and woke up this morning to a perfectly clear tank!

When I first got my Fluval canister filter, my aquarium looked so crystal clear for so long that I didn't do water changes (I know! BIG mistake and another story, but lesson learned). I thought the filter must need cleaning after so long, so I opened it up and cleaned it as instructed. I could never get the water to look as clear again, though. I tried replacing, in cycles, everything in the canister, except the bio-media. I tried various additional filter media. I added wave makers. I still have no idea what the difference was from that first assembly. So, I tried this product. At first, I was a little wary of it killing fish from reviews of a similar (not this) product. So, I only put in 1/4 dose. Each day I added a little more up to the right dose, and now it's as clear as when I first got the canister filter. (I do my water changes regularly!) I still have not had to add any more, even with several water changes. That's my only complaint is that I had to buy two bottles of it but only used one full dose, but it was cheaper than everything else I tried. I hope it stays nice and clear without adding any more product. :)

I can’t say for sure if this is what has killed my fish.I have one koi left and he is pitiful. I used Fluval Quick Clear for aquarium water treatment He has blood in his mouth, all of his fins and tail and around his scales has blood. I would not recommend using this at all. But I bet the company that makes this or even Amazon will not replace my fish

Worked great in my little wall aquarium. I know some people have had disastrous results with this clarifier, but it worked like a charm for me. I used 1/10th of the recommended dose for 10 gal in my 1 gallon wall tank and the water went from cloudy to clear in a couple of hours. I have guppies. I can't say if it's safe for all fish, but mine are more active now than before treatment. A couple of notes that may be helpful: My water was cloudy because of a reaction between my tap water and the water treatment I use. It was not cloudy because of over feeding or lack of maintenance. I use partial Fluval water polishing pads in a bubble filter I designed myself. I had to design my owner filter because it's very hard to find one that's small enough.
