Really good laptop for the price. Minor knocks for a less than ideal battery life, even in battery saver. The SSD is an M.2 NVME 2242, not the longer, more typical, 2280. Some people have had the drive that came with the system fail, so it's worth knowing. Also Torx screws instead of Philips. The only replaceable options are the storage and the WiFi module. At the price point, not taking off any stars. It runs Pop!_OS (PopOS Linux LTS 24.04) without issue out of the box. I had to disable secure boot in the bios (F2/Fn+F2) and was able to boot from USB (F12/Fn+F12) in order to install. The install went smoothly, and all the hardware seems to be working without issue. Note: I haven't configured the fingerprint reader, that will likely require a bit of tinkering, but I don't use it. I didn't even boot the Windows install once, so can't speak for the configuration there. Linux is running solid for me. The speed is perfectly acceptable, as are pretty much any recent AMD CPUs with 6+ cores (there are 8 cores, 16 threads for the 8845hs). While this is priced above what would typically be considered a "value" model (sub-$600) it's definitely one of the best values you can get in a sub-$1000 laptop. At just under $700, definitely worth it and likely worth another $150-200 for a good 2-4tb NVME 2242 drive to replace the 512gb included, just invest in a good Torx screwdriver kit. LTT or iFixIt should both work for you.

I LOVE this computer! I’m a nursing student and it went beyond my expectations for what I needed. The folding mode is great for watching slideshows and tracing pictures of anatomy. The battery lasts for a full school day easily and charges super quickly once plugged in. The backlit keyboard is useful in dark settings, especially as someone who often studies in dimly lit environments. This computer is insanely fast and renders even the largest files with ease. Not only that, it’s actually a great little gaming laptop, too. I’ve played several games with complicated graphics (Destiny 2, Marvel Rivals, COD, Dead by Daylight) with zero issues. It’s a little awkward playing with the keyboard, but that might just be personal preference. Controller connectivity works great for that on this PC though! Overall, I would 100% recommend this computer to anyone who asked. It was worth every penny I spent on it.

I have been very happy with this laptop. There are a few things to note however. I was looking at a few options but settled on this lenovo. I was also looking at something with a dedicated graphics card. The conclusion I came to was if I needed a dedicated card I would just build a desktop. The AMD Ryzen with integrated Radeon graphics performs great! However, if you are gaming don't expect battery life to be that great. Infact even charging while gaming is not great. I have used a 100 watt pd charger and this laptop will only pull 65 watts. If you are just doing lite work it charges fast as advertised but under load even plugged in it will barely charge at all. The ssd could be bigger. I am hoping to upgrade in the future. I installed Borderlands 3, Red Dead 2, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Those 3 games leave me about 125 Gigs left, had to pull out a usb drive to install additional games. This has an HDMI port. However, I found if you mirror the screen to your tv your frame rate drops from 60fps to 30fps. Is this a limit of the processor? I am not sure. Your mileage may very. For what I paid I am quite happy. Just keep it plugged in if you are trying to do anything more than web browsing or watching videos.
