Great product!
This is the perfect item if you bake pound cakes, do events and need your slices to be the same size. On one side its 14 slices flip it over and its 16 slices, you center it over the hole in your cake and press it gently down on top of the cake and it leaves the indent lines to guide you where to slice, it's all based on how large you want your slices to be, I love it, it takes all the guessing work out, I truly recommend.

Equal size cake slices
The portion device worked out just fine, I was able to get equal sized slices of cake. Also, important was the amount of slices cut per cake. I was able to get exactly 14 slices. I did have trouble determing which way to turn downward on the cake since it was 14 slices on 1 side and 16 on the other side. Maybe it could come in two separate pieces.

Best for cakes
Great for marking even slices on round cakes! Easy use and easy to wash! I got to use it for a cake for church and I was told “thank you for marking the slices, made it so easy to cut the cake and have even slices for everyone”

We thought it was great
Depends on the density of the cake. For example it's great for a pound cake, but not a very soft cake. Because you press down to score the cake. It tells you where to cut by the number of slices you want the cake to be> ex:12 or 14

Such a great tool for cutting cakes
I can never get even slices when I cut a cake. This tool will help you to get even slices every time. Simply center it on top of your cake and press down slightly, you don’t have to put much pressure. Take it off and you will see exactly where to cut. It has two sides so you can choose from thin slices or thick slices. I love this tool and highly recommend it. Now I need to search for a tool like this for my rectangular cakes.

As advertised
I ordered the product hoping it would do what I needed it to do which is mark my cakes in equal slices for serving. The Cake Protion Marker does exactly that. Everyone should read all description. It is not for cutting only marking. That's what I needed and it works great and cleans really easily. Good Buy !!
