Wunderbrow Eye Gel is a “wonder-product”!
As I was applying makeup this morning and specifically my eyebrows, I realized that although I have purchased Wunderbrow Eyebrow Gel several times, I have never written a review about this beauty product. I don’t remember what I used prior to Wunderbrow and it was obviously easy to forget! Being 79 yo, my eyebrows have all but disappeared at this point but it’s amazing what can be done using Wunderbrow. I can literally recreate my natural brows freehand since the application wand is so easy to use. That coupled with the creamy gel allows me to quickly apply brows that look natural and beautiful. But here’s the bonus…it is TRULY waterproof and will not fade, smudge or dissolve unless the user purposely uses simple soap and water to do so. I can wash my face and take a shower and my eyebrows remain intact unless I use a bit of soap to remove them. This product really does work “wunders” on sketchy brows and makes them look full and totally natural.

Wunderbrow eyebrow gel
This is the BEST eyebrow gel I’ve ever used. My eyebrows are getting sparse and nothing was filling in those areas without flaking or looking unnatural. I’ve probably tried 6-7 different manufacturers from inexpensive to expensive. This gel WORKS and absolutely stays on even after sleeping.

Requires patience, but result is worth it
I finally did it. I bought Wunderbrow. Let me tell you, it has been a journey with my eyebrows and eyebrow products so I figured...it’s time to see what all the hoopla is about. This may be a long review because I have a lot to say about this product and the things that I’ve learned while using, so please bear with me. First off, I purchased in the Brunette shade even though I have a multi-tonal blonde balayage because I do know from reviews that Wunderbrow runs lighter than you think, and I can say that I completely agree. Brunette is pretty much the perfect color for me as it is more taupe when dry. Secondly, if you purchase Wunderbrow, I HIGHLY suggest watching a number of YouTube tutorials because it IS a product that can be difficult to work with and requires patience and definitely has a learning curve. If you think this is going to be a “throw it on and it’s perfect” product, unfortunately you’ve got another thing comin’. This aside, I DO love the outcome that Wunderbrow provides. Is it perfect? No. Is it worth it? For me, it is. Okay, so Wunderbrow is an extremely wet and liquid-y product. It has taken me several applications to get down the best application method because when it’s very wet and liquid-like, it does not adhere to the skin which poses a problem for outlining the brow as the first step. Naturally, you want to use an angled brow brush to apply this and not the spoolie that it comes with (which is basically a disposable spoolie you’d see at Ulta or something), so if you don’t have an angled brush I recommend purchasing one beforehand or along with this product. The applicator in the tube is a brush (much like a lip gloss brush) which you do NOT want to use directly on your brows. Doing so will apply way too much product that you’ll end up struggling to work through your brow before it dries (because once it starts drying, it and your brows are stuck where they are) and you run the risk of looking like a cartoon character. The best way that I have found to use Wunderbrow is by using a surface, much like a paint palette, to work off of. Personally, I use the top of a cream blush compact because it’s a flat, untextured surface. I don’t recommend your hand because it’s messy and will stain. So to start I get some product onto my working surface by using the brush applicator and just getting a nice little dollop on. After brushing out my brows with a spoolie, I go in with an angled brush (I use the Anastasia dual ended brush for all of this) pick up product and dab off excess on the same surface, much like you would when painting. I start by applying directly to the brow hairs instead of trying to define my brow (that comes later) with small hairlike strokes and using a spoolie to brush out the hair again before going back in with more product from my surface. I do this about 3-4 times to build up the color and by this point the product on my working surface has started to dry down which is when you want to go in and start defining the shape of the brow and using your spoolie as needed. Letting it dry down a bit allows it to become thicker in consistency and is when Wunderbrow does indeed apply and stick to the skin. This is definitely a product where you need to go in with a concealer to clean everything up using a different brush to make your brows more defined and have cleaner edges. This product does wear like a champion and through a night of dancing or a day of hiking it will not budge, fade, or smear. Wunderbrow does not come off with water, but it does come off with makeup remover or cleanser, which I use every single night if I have been wearing any makeup. So, the whole “lasts a few days” thing is really lost for me. If you use any makeup remover whatsoever, this stuff will come right off and will not last days. My final thoughts on Wunderbrow is that it does not take less time to use whatsoever, it is not a product I use daily but for instances where I need to make sure my brows are locked in for the day/night, this is now my go-to for those purposes. When I use Wunderbrow I really love the results and how perfect it can make my brows look. Is it the most natural looking? Not at all, which is why I typically prefer it if I’m going out to a show or a club. I do find that it wears better and keeps the brow hairs in place better than Anastasia’s Dipbrow and brow gel. Wunderbrow is definitely a solid product and I definitely will be using it when I need to/have the time to. It’s not a perfect product and like I said, requires some patience and technique in perfecting application, but overall I find it to be one of the best brow products I have ever purchased for creating a bold, sharp brow look that lasts through sweat, humidity and withstands my bangs until I take it off. I will upload photos soon. Thanks for reading!

Works great on faded tattooed eyebrows!
*Updated 3/5/16* Due to a stupid mistake I made back in the 90s, I got my eyebrows tattooed and over the years they have faded to practically nothing. Since the tattoos are higher than my natural eyebrows, I can't just grow them out because it would look like I have 2 sets of eyebrows. So I have to shave them off several times a week. Then when I put foundation on, they completely disappear and I look like an alien. So I have to draw them on daily with a colored pencil and I end up looking like a Chola. Not that there's anything wrong with that... However I am kind of an old school goth, so I just tell people that it's a "Goth thing". But since I am quite a bit older now, it is getting much harder to pull off. So I was browsing around the internet trying to find a natural looking eyebrow product and came across Wunderbrow and read the rave reviews. I have burgundy/violet hair and I ordered the brunette shade. Based on the reviews I expected this to be a little darker but it is actually a medium ashy kind of brown. It would be a very flattering shade for blondes or medium toned brunettes, but for me I think it was just a little too light. I then purchased the black/brown and it is perfect for me. The color is fairly sheer, so you will need a few coats if you want to make it darker. I created an updated video to show you some tips and tricks which has made the application process much easier for me. Several people were mentioning that they were having a hard time with the brush, but I found it to be very easy to use right out of the bottle. The brush is somewhat stiff but also a little flexible, kind of like a nail polish brush. It is flat on one side that you can use to paint on the heaviest part of your brow and then you can turn it sideways to use the narrow side on your arch and ends. But after using the product for several weeks, I discovered that if you cut the brush at an angle, it allows for more precise application. I just rest my elbow on the faucet which provides a steadier hand. Since I have no eyebrow hairs, I have no use for the mascara wand that comes with it, but you can use it to blend the product into your natural brows. If you mess up, you can use a wet q-tip to remove the goof, but you will have to do it quickly while the product is still wet. Once the product is dry, you can rub your fingers over brows and it will not come off. I would always be paranoid when using pencil because at the slightest touch, I would have a brown streak across my face and half of my eyebrow would go missing. How embarrassing is that?! You can even go to sleep with this product on your face and still wake up with eyebrows. I love that! But as soon as I used facial cleanser, a majority of the product washed off. So while it is probably waterproof in the rain and while swimming, as soon as you apply any type of cleanser and scrubbing action, the majority of it will probably come off. I also think it will not last as long if you apply it over moisturizer. Your skin should be clean and dry for best results. I also notice that when the product is dry, the finish is fairly matte and almost gives the appearance of hairs. So to recap, here are my tips for getting the best use out of the product for those of us with no eyebrows. Your results may vary! 1. Avoid any oil based moisturizer or foundation. The product works best on clean dry skin. 2. Cut the brush at an angle for a more precise application. 3. Rest your elbow on the faucet or other flat surface for a steadier hand. 4. Do the heaviest part of your brow first, followed by the tail, then meet at the arch. 5. Apply with light strokes. The product goes on a little sheer, so you can add more coats if necessary to achieve a darker look. 6. Keep some wet q-tips handy in case you goof but do it fast! Only works while the product is still wet. 7. Set the product with a light dusting of pressed or loose powder. In summary, I am really loving Wunderbrow. I definitely think it's more natural looking than pencil or anything else I have tried in the past. What do you think?

Long lasting but color changes and took too long to apply
I've been faithful to another product for years but lately it was taking too long and the results were inconsistent. So I finally tried wunderbrow and I'm thrilled. It requires some practice to learn proper application but then the results are amazing. It looks absolutely natural, even in natural sunlight, and it can last for days but touch ups are needed. I've slept, exercised daily, and washed (around brows), and got 3 days of wear with touch ups. My only complaint is that the Auburn color is not red at all. I think it looks kinda muddy. It appears more red in photos than in person as well. As others said, the brush in the tube is useless. I dip a clean spoolie in the tube (it came with one) and just brush it on/in my brows. It even created tail where my hair is thinnest and it's the most difficult to fill in. I also use a very thin angled brush to draw a few hairs and use concealer to clean up the edges for a defined finish. You don't need the special cleanser, it can be removed with an oil based cleanser like baby oil. Update: I'm still using the wunderbrow and happy, however, the auburn shade is really too muddy looking which really bugged me after a while, it also oxidizes during the day and gets darker which I hate. So I started mixing a drop or two of the wunderbrow with Make Up Forever Chromatic Mix, the water based formula in red #4 (available on Sephora online). Then I use an angled brow brush to apply and a spoolie to blend it out. The color is a vibrant red once mixed and much better match for my very bright, dyed, red hair. Also, I don't get to use an entire tube bc it gets darker and dries out. I also decided I don't like to wear it for days, it needs touched up and is too thick to build over. Second update: I think I'm giving up on Wunderbrow. Over rhe last year the application was taking too long and it was not looking as good as it first did. It was too dark and too thick, and maybe my tastes have changed bc I really want a softer and natural looking brow. Wunderbrow ended up looking heavy and like plastic on hair, plus I was really tired of having to mix the color to make it at all red. So I tried some new products and found a really surprising new favorite. Etude House Tint My Brow 4 Tip Marker. I wrote a review and posted pics on Amazon where I bought it if anyone is interested. There is also a youtube video that is hownI found it. The Etude marker is more natural looking and takes only 5 or 10 min to apply, so it's way faster. Downside, it's not as waterproof as Wunderbrow (nothing is) but I guess I have to trade off something to get the easier to use product and more natural look. I do still like Wunderbrow to camouflage my hairline a bit when my roots need done so the tubes I have left will not go to waste.

AWESOME PRODUCT ... and i didn't believe the hype!!!
Wow. I am in complete and total shock. What an awesome product. I have been bombarded by Wonderbrow ads on my facebook page and ignored the product thinking their in your face advertising technique meant they were having a hard time selling their product. This went on for about a year. Then recently I was getting increasingly annoyed with how my trusty brow gel pencil wasn't holding up until then end of the day. While it was a breeze to apply, by the end of the day half of it would have rubbed off, resulting in pretty awful looking brows. So I began looking into Wunderbrow and studying the application videos posted on YouTube by recent buyers. So for a $22 investment risk I was at least going to give it a try. I bought the color closest to my own eyebrows - Brunette (I have wheat blonde highlighted copper-brown hair with thin medium brown brows... the taupe-y brown color that you see through the tube actually dries slightly darker so for me it's a perfect match. I was worried I should have gone Brown Black but no; Brown Black would be for women with very dark hair or women of color). I also bought -AND THIS IS CRUCIAL OR YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THE RESULT AT ALL- I also bought a fairly stiff, short bristled angled eyebrow/eyeliner brush. This is so incredibly important. You cannot possible apply this product to your brows with the fat, soft applicator. It would be like painting with acrylic paint. So I received both products in the same Amazon shipment. Having studied various application videos, it seemed best to dab my angled brush into the saturated Wunderbrow applicator brush and load up, but not heavily. The product dries fairly quickly and in my case I used a light hand. First I brushed my eyebows upwards with the included spoolie. Then I traced beneath my brow line to create the lower edge of my intended brow; the angle of my angle brush produced a fine, strong line, just what you want. I taped towards the outer edge of my brow. Then i did the same for the top edge. Then i filled in with short quick strokes. I brushed again with the spoolie to even everything out. I loaded up again and did the other brow. Then I loaded up sparingly and returned to the first brow I had worked on and created the illusion of fine vertical hairs in the inner edge of my brow (the part closer to my nose/inner eye). Did the same to other brow. Using the spoolie helps create these "hairs". By now both brows were dry. But what I did is because I like my brows to be ever so slightly darker in color, I took my usual eyebrow gel pencil and very lightly went over the areas of each brow where I wanted additional definition. I did not bother with a light highlighting pencil as I've seen done in many of these videos; I have freckles and this is not the look I need or want. I just want nice eyebrows that stay put all day! WELL LET ME TELL YOU. I had a hair appointment today and my eyebrows survived perfectly through shampoo and conditioner, a scalp massage, cutting my bangs and a blowout. They have not faded or peeled or disintegrated at all. These babies are stating put for a few days, I can tell. So rather than having to work with my eyebrows every single day, I expect now to have to do it a few times every week. Wunderbrow is a wonderful product and lives up to the hype. Its very easy to apply and I am not a makeup pro by any means. And that bottle of product should last me an entire year! I highly recommend it. But DO NOT forget the angled brush!!!!

LOVE!!!
I am shocked at the number of bad reviews here, so I wanted to share my 5 star experience with the Wunder Brow product. I truly believe different products work or don't work for different people. I also think a lot of the bad reviews here are user error and if someone else, especially a makeup artist, were to apply it correctly on them they'd love the result. I can confirm that as someone with very sparse eyebrows, this can be applied in less than 2 minutes and it can look great. My brows and eyelashes are very blonde and barely there, so I've used eyebrow pencils most of my adult life. But, I hated the smearing and running if I accidentally itched my forehead/eye. I also hated that my eyebrows would be gone after swimming or working out. This is the real deal, ladies. There is definitely a learning curve. It's not a pencil. It's a gel, like paint. You need some skill at applying, just like you do with eyeliner or mascara, but if done sparingly and if you build the color and shape as needed this is absolutely perfect. Now that I have the hang of it, it takes me maybe 2 minutes tops to do every morning. It's the holy grail of eyebrow makeup, for sure! I'm a customer for life. My brows stay on after swimming and working out. I can walk in the rain and come inside and my eyebrows are still intact and not smeary or runny at all. I can itch my eyebrow and nothing changes or smudges. Even if I wash my face and don't scrub hard at my eyebrows, I notice have a bit of color left there afterwards, as well (not as much as the initial application, but enough to not look like an eyebrow-less ghoul when walking around the house before bed). It looks totally natural, more so than any other eyebrow pencils or products I've used in the past. For reference, I am ash blonde with light blonde highlights, and was worried the blonde would be too light. It's not. The color is absolutely perfect for a light complexioned blonde, strawberry blonde, or someone with a light complexion and light brown hair. It matches my hair and coloring perfectly without being orange or yellow ish like some "blonde" eyebrow pencils. LOVE!!! Take the bad reviews with a grain of salt and try it for yourself. Worst case scenario, you're out $20 until you contact the company- once you do, they have a money back guarantee and great customer service.

Love it, but one complaint.
EDIT: April 2017 - I've been using Wunderbrow for about 6 months now, and I'm on my 3'rd tube. I have dark brown almost black hair. I ordered and used a full tube of the "Black/Brown," but it's more of a light brown.. That itself made me decide to remove a star. Because the black/brown was too light, I decided to order the Jet Black. It was more of a grey than a black. I love this product, and I'll continue to use it and swear by it, but the dark shades need to be darker, and they really need to come out with a legitimate blonde color. I have redhead friends that want to try this, but there's no shade to match red or very light blonde hair. I apply one coat, let it dry, and apply a second coat to get the right color. Not a big deal to me, but others really hate it. Overall, after 6 months and 3 tubes, I love this stuff. It's the best brow product I've ever used. But I really think Wunderbrow needs to perfect and broaden their color selection, since the colors are NOT true to the photos. I did have a great result mixing the black and black/brown colors, but it's more of a hassle than its worth. My suggestions: -Order a shade darker than you think you need. -Order a tube of the color you think you need, and order a tube one shade darker to mix together. -Use an angled brush to apply; the applicator does NOT apply product cleanly or sharp -If the color is a little too light, apply one coat, let dry, and apply a second coat to darken. My advice to Wunderbrow: -Perfect the shades so they are true to the photos. The colors are not true to the name or photos, and most of us are ordering what appears to be the perfect shade based on the photos, and receive something 4 shades lighter than our hair. -Broaden your color selection to include natural blondes and redheads. -Add an angled brush to the opposite end of the brow brush included in the box, or re-design the applicator. -Fix the ashiness in the black shade, darken the black/brown shade, and lighten the blonde shades. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'll be the first to admit that I was a little skeptical based on some of the reviews here, but I decided to give it a shot. When I got it, the first thing I noticed was how nice the packaging was. No damage, no dents, nothing. The tube itself is very nice and solid, and the formula of the product itself is perfect. I'm the type of person that is constantly touching my face, particularly my brow area. My cream brow wax was always either constantly smudging, too dark, too harsh, and frankly, just very unnatural. Something about this brow product is super easy to apply (although I'd recommend using an angled brush and not the one provided), and it stays all day and then some. It goes on smooth, it looks natural, and it's extremely easy to add that gorgeous, natural looking gradient that some women seem to be able to achieve effortlessly. I haven't noticed harsh lines with this, either. And since it's more of a liquid, it's hard to make it look too dark unless you buy a color that doesn't match your brows or hair. Overall, I love this. I'll never go back to pencils or cream. The only drawback is that the wand that comes with it picks up way too much product and makes it hard to apply. If you're going to try this, grab an angled brush. If you use the wand, you probably will dislike this product.
