Great Story - Art Style was Weird
I'm a big Venom fan, reading this the story was a tad confusing at first but once the pieces started to come together the big picture was really well thought out.Only downside on this one for me was the artwork. The covers included for each issue were fantastic. Beyond that everyone's head reminded me of a kidney bean. It does get slightly better as you read through it but it bothered me more than it should have.

Not my cup of tea
At first I didn't mind the cartoony art so long as the story kept me interested. But after about halfway the story starts to wane. Couldn't even finish reading this. Rick remender's Venom is better. I'm about to start reading Donny Cates Venom which I heard is good as well. Venom is a bad dude in this, if you prefer the anti-hero Venom this isn't for you.

Good story, but cartoonish art
Good story, but the art just feels out of place. It's cartoonish in a very distracting way.

Enjoyed it apart from the ending....
I really enjoyed Daniel Ways run on the character. The plot is a bit convoluted but it does make sense in the end. The art is a mixed bag. Some of it is quite cartoony and not necessarily my favourite art style in comics. My biggest gripe with this run is the last one #18. There is no real resolution to the story and we hear nothing of the main villain again after. Thus the story is incomplete! 😂I did do some research though and the main female character in the story Patricia Roberston does come back later on in the 2019 'absolute carnage' story arc. So at least that is something.
