Great speakers for Dolby Atmos! These are perfect speakers to place on top of your front tower speakers (recommended) or to replace the rear book shelf speakers. These speakers are wired. Great product with excellent sound.

The speakers are intended to be used for height-depth in a surround system. However, I'm using these as my front stereo speakers because of their low-profile. Even being used outside of their original purpose, they still sound very good and the audio is sharp.

Overview: For the price, these are really solid height channels that add the ability to hear Atmos effects. The way I have them set up as upfiring drivers with relatively low basement ceilings, they serve their purpose well. Height effect: The height effect they produce feels more like sound is coming from above my display rather than directly above me, but with some use, you get used to perceiving where the sound “should be coming from.” Overall: I think these would work much better supported by a tweeter as well to separate the upper and high mid-range and make height effects slightly more dynamic instead of one note. However, I understand the constraints given the price of the unit. Overall, for the price, as an introduction to Atmos, these speakers do a spectacular job at a relatively low price point.
