Perfection
The media could not be loaded. So, I had very simple needs for a footswitch, since the Ampeg footswitch for my amp comes with a useless extra button for a different amp.1) Only one switch2) Has an LED light3) Takes a standard cable that isn't attached.4) Priced like a footswitch and not an effect pedalI was amazed that this is the ONLY pedal I found that could fit these criteria. I think Fender made a really old one you could get used, but it was too old. I like the size of this switch, but if you don't, they also make a mini version.Thing is built like any high-quality effect pedal. As you see in the video, the click is loud and positive, and the light functions. It also worked perfectly for my Ampeg RB210.It amazes me that there aren't other pedals that have only one switch, uses a detached 1/4" jack, and has an LED light so you can tell if it's on or not. That being said, this is all you need for a single-setting footswitch!

Switches on and off... Twice!
I bought this to go with my Orange amplifier (even bought little orange cables to go with it too) and it works just as one might expect. I find the footprint glyphs to be unattractive and not particularly useful; it's just a foot that says "switch" inside under both switches. Like it's not obvious that it's a footswitch? I don't know why it's necessary. Maybe since Orange is sort of known for their whimsical icons that go with all of their amps' features, they wanted to continue that with the switch. Anyway, that's spending way too long on the feet. The switches are sturdy and make a decisive "click" when you hit them. They're a bit tough to press if you're in bare feet, but at least that hints at ruggedness. The bottom is covered in a non-slip neoprene foam so it doesn't want to get away from you.My only complaint is that the lights act a bit opposite to what I'd expect, but that's probably Orange's fault with the amp and not the switch. If I use the switch for the onboard reverb, the light is on when the reverb is activated and the light is off when it is not--that's usual behavior. If I use the switch between the clean and overdrive channel, though, the light is on for the clean channel and off for the overdrive channel, sort of opposite of what I'm used to. I opened the back to see if it'd be possible to rewire the switch to express the opposite behavior, but they were both wired to a small PCB so it was out of the question. I am glad they don't use an XLR or TRS connector though, so it's useful with more applications than specific amps. And I'm also glad I was able to get it at a discount to the usual price courtesy of amazon.

Works Great on the TH30 combo
This footswitch works perfectly with the Orange TH30 combo. Contrary to other reviews I read, the orange indicator light comes on for the Dirty channel and is off on the Clean channel; at least that is how it is working for me! I agree that it is a bit oversized for a simple channel switch. But the white color, large footprint, and convenient angle make this footswitch very easy to use. It has solid construction and you can use any length regular guitar cable with it. Set the channel switch to Dirty, plug in the footswitch, and you are ready to rock!

Just what I needed.
Works great with my orange combo amp. Price was better than what guitar center was asking.

quit browsing to save a buck, buy this switch
I feel stupid.I spent the better part of an hour hum'in and ha'in over a bunch of single channel latching footswitches from $12 and up trying to think I would save a few dollars over this switch.Plastic construction, lightweight construction, sharp edges, no led, attached cable (no thanks) ....I looked at them all and figured "they would be ok for the price"..Then the penny dropped. Exactly how many latching footswitches do I hope to buy in my lifetime?..yes...of course the answer is just one. This item is built like all Orange products. completely OTT - those guys are gorillas..This switch is heavy, it stays in place, it is really really solid, it functions smoothly without rocking and so you can kick it, stomp on it, stand on it, use it to keep a door open, jack up your car and even kill a zombie..I completely forgot about its price the second I opened the package.. awesome product.

Solid but Big
I'm using this one on an Orange TH-30. Switches channels easily and reliably, and since you just use a normal guitar cable to plug it into the amp you can choose the length/cable. And if something happened to your cable it's easy to replace, unlike some other footswtiches where the cable is built into it. The only downside is that the footswitch is big. It takes up some real estate on my pedal board, and if you have a smaller one that could be an issue.

Works great.
The only bad thing about this purchase is that I forgot to buy cables. This will require 1/4 inch cables separately purchased. It worked well with my Orange guitar amp.

Orange FS-1 Footswitch
The Orange FS-1 is a heavy duty footswitch. I didnt look very hard at the rounded "Bell Shaped" footswitches, reminiscent of an old hotel bell. Those have plastic bottoms & thin built in,short cables. The FS-1 is all metal, including the bottom. The Orange FS-1 is 4" X 4 3/4". The FS-1 is white, not the purplish color displayed. I'd guess the weight to be about a pound. I didn't want to be limited to being 5 or 6 feet away from my amp at all times. So using a longer 12' or 16' regular cord in the Orange works best for me, as I sit on my couch or a chair, when working through certain songs. The Orange FS-1 can take the beating, it's build quality is really that good. Cheers!
