This pedal does the job period. For the money I am very impressed with it. If you want to add boost to a amp without enough gain get this pedal.

This little booster sounds great, being able to control bass & treble is just what a booster needs, because as you turn up, bass & treble become prominent and we end up cutting those frequency. I wish all clean boosts had these controls!

As far as I can tell from the knob layout, the AFOT Metal pedal is a clone of the Metal Muff. I've never played that pedal, and it is certainly not one you hear much about. I'm definitely ready to sing the praises of this pedal, however. It has a brutal, seething and untameable distortion sound that punches you right in the face. The tone is both thick and tight and would be appropriate for a vast range of heavy music styles, from metalcore to grindcore to deathcore, deathgrind and beyond. For people looking for tone "to the bone" or tone described with the adjective "all day," you can't really use it as a transparent boost or to give a little sparkle to your blues dentistry. (Not that you'd want to unless someone added at LEAST another decimal point to the price.) The distortion goes from heavy to out of hand. The tone knobs are super effective, cutting and boosting their bands dramatically--and there are three of them, which is always nice The top boost option is like driving an icepick heated over an open flame into your ears, but if you set it just right (low) it can bump the rage quotient without hurting you too much. The only disgruntlement I have is over the volume knob--3/4 of the pedals volume is only available in the last 1/4 turn or less of the knob. That's kinda dumb, but can be worked around. The case is strange and seems to be made out of metal 1/4-inch think. Small but heavy. The artwork on this pedal (and rebranded versions sold by other companies) is totally tacky. If you like the chugga-chugga, give this a shot.

Okay, I admit, I've not gotten around to plugging a guitar into it yet. But I HAVE used it for hours the last several days in sampling sessions with various ancient mono synths on my Liven LoFi 12 and Ambient 0. It seems to help the signal chain so the synth doesn't overwork its output and the Livens don't have to have the line inputs maxed. While of course the EQ section is spartan, the Treble and Bass knobs DO help in my sampling endeavors. It's hit and miss depending on what I'm sampling, but I'm glad the tone knobs are there. It sounds good to me, and the price makes it a no-brainer. Recommended.

I've been wanting to add a boost pedal to my pedal board for a while. I can't say I have too much experience with other boost pedals but this one does a pretty decent job at giving you a pretty clean volume bump with some minor EQ controls. I especially like that it's a mini pedal considering it's doing such a simple thing it won't take up too much room on my board. The construction of the enclosure feels pretty high quality as well

I really love this pedal. It is well made and works perfectly offering great value for the price. I especially love using it with my single-coil pickups because it adds a good amount of clean boost to mid-range and bass frequencies. This one is a keeper.

Gran pedal con la opción de ecualizarlo, ahorra espacio y cumple perfecto con su función, lo recomiendo para pedalboards pequeñas, si este no es tu caso, podría ser algo incómodo ya que no tiene mucho de donde sujetarse ya que es delgado pero a la vez alto en sus proporciones.
