I love these horn combs especially in the winter. No static or sparks at all. It's a bit bigger than I expected. I thought it would be a smaller pocket comb. Still a great comb.

As you should know, it’s made of natural material, therefore my positive review here doesn’t mean you yourself won’t get a “lemon”. I really like this comb. My hair is medium length, thick and wavy. The plastic comb I’ve been using for years annoyed me enough finally to seek an alternative. I started reading / researching tools for thick hair. Horn came up as a really nice option, and this brand/style seemed as good as any for me to start in my testing of alternative-materials. I was pleasantly surprised at the truth of the “no tangle” (or at least significantly less tangle) experience I had using this horn comb. I did not have the experience/issue with smell of the comb I received, as I’ve read in other reviews. I have also read you should not get it wet, or it might start to smell (or warp / mis-shape). While I don’t take it into the shower, I have tested many times running it through my wet hair and so far have no smell or structural issues. I have dropped my comb on at least five occasions from standing height to hard surface. As my luck would have it (or the cut of horn I received is very solid) not one tine or piece has cracked or broken off. I’m not drawn to the style with a handle, so the shape and size are perfect for my situation. It’s great for travel, and (in my opinion) easier to clean than the plastic one. I won’t be going back to plastic combs! Price-wise, this is the one and only horn comb I have owned. There are more expensive ones; I would be wary of less-expensive. A creature created/grew this, plus manufacturing cost (at least the engineering of the cutting template) and shipping ... seems like a great bargain from my perspective.

Cool little comb but smells atrocious when wet, which for me at least is 90% of the time you use a comb. You wet your hair and you run a comb through. First time I did this, I flushed the toilet thinking I'd forgotten to flush, but the smell of public restroom grew. I should've known something was up, when my dog took a very keen interest in it. Also the smell doesn't go away, it gets worse the more you wet it, call it the Buffalo's revenge!
