These were used to upgrade the 2.6 inch speakers in an RV awning. As they were installed today it is too soon to know how they will hold up in the weather.

Surprisingly loud for the size. I would recommend using bass blockers for very loud use because the bass distorts the sound at high volumes.

Purchased this product with hopes it would work. They sound fine in a hottub setting. The problem I have is one of them has already stopped working. Took the speaker out and can’t find anything wrong with it just isn’t working. Press on the cone and it would work for a minute but now not at all.

I purchased these to replace the OEM speakers in my spa that routinely die several minutes after the warranty expires. Replacing the one non-working speaker I noticed the sound quality was terrible compared to the original speakers. Thinking I may have got a bad one I swapped in the 2nd speaker... same thing. Sounds like the music is coming from a 55 gallon drum. These are getting returned and I guess I'll buy more OEMs. They don't last long buy at least they sound great while they work.Addendum: After returning these speakers and ordering something else Herdio reached out to explore a remedy to my situation in responseto my review. This speaks highly of their customer support. I've raised to 3 stars due to that. In light of the many reviews praising sound quality it's a mystery why mine sounded like crap.

I was surprised how much these improved music sound in my outdoor hot tub, I suspect an improvement even over the original 3" speakers installed by the spa manufacturer (but had gotten blown out by being overdriven by an amp short).One installation note, I was able to squeeze them into the holes from the original 3" speakers, but it was a very, very tight fit, I had to use some WD-40 lubricant to get them pushed fully in.

I bought 4 speakers 1 not working and one low quality

Speakers started out good. Over the period of a few months they started sticking (magnet would not move the cone). You could take the grill off the speaker and push it a few times to break it free and it would work. Now it seems like the moisture has caused them to rust internally. I can hear the speaker grind as it plays. I would say water resistant at best. The speakers are sitting at a 20% angle at most so water would tend to lay on the speaker.UPDATE. Without even asking for replacement, Herdio sent me a replacement set of speakers. Possibly a manufacture defect? Other speaker is still going strong. Customer service is so important in my book. rating changed from 3 star to 5.
