180 Days: Social Studies for Early Elementary & Kindergarten

Wonderful lesson plan

We got this book for our son to use alongside his normal homeschool curriculum and he really likes it. The activities are straight forward and age appropriate for his school grade. The pictures are not in color but you can still see the image clearly. Our son does a few pages at a time and learns the material quickly. Overall this is a great workbook for homeschooling children that need an extra social studies curriculum.

This book is thicker than I expected (which isn't bad), and I love that it gives an introduction into several topics in one curriculum- history, civics, social studies, geography, and money (economics). These are all important topics, and each can be studied more thoroughly as individual subjects in later school years. I always read reviews of products before purchasing them, and I was quite baffled and appalled that another reviewer labeled this book as "patriotic indoctrination." I'm absolutely horrified at what that person may be teaching their poor child. This book simply shows how to recognize American symbols, something I believe is very important, and pays homage to the American flag and its military. One page asks "What do we put on graves on Memorial Day?" and shows a picture of a military cemetary. We SHOULD be teaching our children things like this, as the US Flag (and those who have fought under it) deserve a great amount of respect. Kudos to Kathy Flynn (author) for adding this to the book!

I really like this book for homeschooling however i would love if they added some color to the pages.

Good book to study social studies, we are using for our homeschooling program

I ordered this workbook because I was looking for something to supplement my child's kindergarten curriculum. I wanted something a little more advanced than the typical remedial kindergarten social studies stuff. However, I was not particularly impressed with this book. It is not bad, but it just was not the best. I felt like I had to do a lot of cherry picking worksheets that I liked and did not like. It's not a bad curriculum, but I would probably recommend that customers compare options to make sure that it meets their needs before purchasing. All the pages are also in black and white there are no pictures with color which makes it a dull option for kindergarten in my opinion. I would have loved something that combined high quality instruction with some colorful pictures.

I picked 180 days to go with other homeschool curriculum. This workbook is great. My son had a hard time understanding a different homeschool program but with this one he is doing great. We love the book. I also like that there is an answer key in the back.

ちょっといい価格ですが、簡単な英語で社会のルールなどを学習できます。週5日で180日分です。理科と地理も買ってやらせていますが、「どうしてそう思いますか？」という質問がかならずあります。考える教育にはとてもよい問題集です。一年生の問題集では、キンダーで習った問題にちょっと上乗せした問題をこなす感じなので、まったく新しいことを学ぶより、すんなり問題集に溶け込めるようです。とてもよい問題集です。
