The spinner does work. However, the manufacturer did not include instructions. As a result, I inserted the fixed chassis upside down. My mistake didn't allow the basket holding the vegetables to spin. I looked back at the diagram to discover my mistake.

The product itself is relatively heavy, but it rotates smoothly and thoroughly.
