Worth it!
Love this mower & accessories! So easy to use! And it does a great job on our rough & bumpy yard. It's got a METAL deck which is amazing for a battery powered mower. They are typically plastic.Only 2 complaints: 1) this sucker is HEAVY. I can push/pull it with no problem while mowing, I just cannot physically fold it up to put it up by myself. 2) I wish the battery lives were longer. We can mow the yard with one solid charge, but there's not much left after. And it takes a long time to fully charge them. Was hoping to send my tween out to earn his own money this summer mowing the neighbors yards, but that's not very easy or practical with this type of mower requiring a full charge in between lawns.

Greenworks is the best!
Had the Greenworks dual blade mower for 10 years and it finally died on me. Purchased this as a replacement and it seems to be even better in quality. The metal makes it feel much sturdier and the self-propelled helps on steep hills. The only downside is it holds only one battery at a time. The dual blade mower switched between two batteries automatically. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.

Manual is incomplete. Must be mechanically minded to setup initially.
I'm replacing an older EGO cordless electric mower, and this one seems pretty well built, as well. Like the power, like the quietness, like the ease of starting, like the looks. Also like that the handle can be lowered from the max length, while still allowing the mower to start. (something the EGO cannot do!) I'm 6 foot tall, but most times I don't need the handle at chest high, but rather use it a bit lower.Don't like: Manual is incomplete. Must be mechanically minded to setup mower. For instance, not one mention nor one photo showing how to fold/unfold the handle!Don't like the smaller 40v battery. EGO uses a 56v battery and will mow for an hour. This one gets you a little more than halfway there! Don't like storage for a second battery (which is not included), but no electrical connection to switch to it when the first battery gets low. Ads and the manual seem to indicate that it will, but it does not. Did I mention that I Don't like having only one battery.I also purchased the edger (tool only) before discovering the mower has only one battery. I use it on both machines, but not until I charge the one I have.Don't like the confusion on batteries available. It seems that there is this40v battery and a different 40v battery for the G-MAX. Strict ad messages warn that the G-MAX battery WILL NOT fit mine. Who's running the product development dept at Greenworks!

Replaced my old B&D mower. Works great!
My old Black and Decker mower made it 14 years and batteries since and now are 1/4th the size. I went from a huge heavy car battery mower to a tiny single battery. How does this Greenworks 21" mower with a single 40v battery fare? It just mowed my entire lawn with ease using the entire charge. I'm not sure how long it took, but maybe 30-40 minutes. My old B&D used to do that when it was new, but over time it could only do half. This mower was just as strong cutting the lawn, had an easy height adjustment, and the self propelled worked great going up a steep incline I have as well. Zero complaints. This mower was also half the cost of the old B&D when I bought it. Now to see if this one can last 14 years! Fingers crossed.Edit: I've done several mowings since I've bought this and it's still fantastic. It goes through heavy grass pretty easily, and it has a slot for a spare battery as well. For the cost, this thing is just amazing. My lawn is on the smaller side and takes about 30 mins tops to do, so I can do everything in a single charge. Barely. I did buy two cheaper spares and even though they advertised being larger capacity than the brand name one, they only lasted about 2/3 as long. I'm not complaining because they're really really cheap and pretty light all things considered. You could buy 10 of these things for the cost of a replacement battery for my old B&D.

Worst customer service ever
Prior to purchasing a Greenworks lawn mower, I tried to contact Greenworks customer support multiple times to get advice on your products. I called 3-4 times and was on hold for as long as 45 min before giving up. Ultimately, I decided to give Greenworks the benefit of the doubt about your customer service and purchased a Greenworks lawn mower (ML 40L02) on Amazon. This turned out to be a mistake on my part. My experience has only gone downhill from there. Once the lawn mower arrived, I was excited to try it out after charging the battery overnight. The product details claim the battery will last up to 45 min and is appropriate for a 1/3 acre lawn. After about 10 minutes the battery died. I recharged the battery and tried again with the self-propelled feature turned off (to conserve power). The mower shut off multiple times when I cut the sunny portion of my yard that has moderately dense grass that hadn’t been cut for 2 weeks. Again, after recharging the battery, a third time, the mower ran for 30 sec and died again. The battery appears to be defective.Optimistic that Greenworks would be able help me solve the problems and replace the battery, I called customer support again. After 55 min on hold I gave up. The customer service hours are short to begin with so there aren’t many options to try calling at off hours. At work the next day, I tried the online chat and finally got a person who was entirely unhelpful. She refused to do anything to help me because I didn’t know the serial number of the lawn mower. She also refused to let me chat with her supervisor or have someone contact me. She suggested calling the customer service line again but rather than wasting more of my time, I decided to return the lemon of a mower. I also send a letter to Greenworks describing what had happened but the letter to the customer service PO box was returned with no forwarding address given! This is really summed up my experience with Greenworks customer support.
