Love this mix. Especially since it is white chocolate. I have purchased several times!

For years, I have wandered through the desolate wasteland of subpar powdered beverages. I have endured the chalky textures of value Brands and the cloying, artificial syrupage of premium artisanal boutiques. I sought not merely a drink, but a revelation, a liquid manifestation of the duality of man: the warmth of the hearth and the bite of the winter wind. In Cocoa Classics Chocolate Supreme (Mint Flavor), my search has reached its cosmic conclusion. Phase I: The Visual and Molecular Integrity Upon breaching the seal of the packet, one is greeted by a powder of remarkable consistency. The granules possess a structural integrity rarely seen in mid-tier cocoa mixes. There is no clumping; there is only a fine, mahogany-tinted dust that suggests a meticulous milling process. Under a focused LED light, one can observe the slight shimmer of the sugar crystals—a promise of the sucrose-driven endorphin rush to come. I prepared the vessel using a ceramic mug pre-heated to exactly 60°C to ensure thermal equilibrium upon contact. Phase II: The Hydration Event The introduction of the hot water (distilled, naturally) created a chemical reaction that can only be described as "symphonic." As the liquid met the powder, the solubility rate was near-instantaneous. There was no sludge at the terminus of the mug. Instead, a rich, velvety suspension formed, boasting a viscosity that clings to the back of a silver spoon with the tenacity of a Shakespearean tragedy. Phase III: The Olfactory Profile Before the first sip, I engaged in a three-minute "nosing" period. Primary Note: A deep, resonant Dutch-processed cocoa that grounds the senses. Secondary Note: A sharp, precision-engineered peppermint top note that pierces through the steam like a lighthouse through a fog bank. It does not smell like a candy cane; it smells like intent. It smells like a peppermint leaf that has been studied by scholars. Phase IV: The Palate and The Mint Paradox The first contact is where the Chocolate Supreme truly earns its moniker. The chocolate provides a robust, foundational sweetness, a Supreme baseline that avoids the bitterness of high-cacao percentages while maintaining a sophisticated profile. Then comes the Mint. This is not a timid mint. It is a mint flavor that understands its own power. It provides a cooling sensation that defies the laws of thermodynamics; while the liquid burns the tongue with warmth, the mentholated finish provides a localized cryo-effect that confuses and delights the nervous system. The mouthfeel is exceptional: buttery without being oily, lingering just long enough to demand another sip, yet clean enough to leave the palate refreshed. The Aftermath and Psychological Impact As I drained the final dregs, I found myself staring into the empty ceramic void, contemplating the fleeting nature of joy. This cocoa does not just provide a small number of calories; it provides a sanctuary. It is a beverage for the philosopher, the poet, and the weary traveler who just wants their kitchen to smell like a high-end spa in the Swiss Alps. Final Verdict If you are looking for a casual drink to mindlessly consume while watching a sitcom, look elsewhere. This is a commitment. This is a masterpiece of food science and flavoring. Cocoa Classics has moved beyond the realm of instant mix and into the realm of modern alchemy. Pros: * Elite solubility. Sophisticated thermal-dualism of hot and mint. High-viscosity mouthfeel. Cons: * Makes all other liquids feel like a personal insult.

This is really good! I was buying it from a local store over the winter and got used to having it a a relaxing treat after a difficult day. When the store stopped carrying it, because it was seasonal, I immediately searched for it and found this large package on sale. This large package is much easier than having to carry home multiple small boxes with only four packets per box. I love all the flavors. If you add the recommended amount of water, it’s sweeter. If you add extra water, it’s not as sweet. It’s nice to be able to make it taste as sweet as you want it to taste. The mint isn’t overwhelming in this brand. It’s pleasant. I usually add extra water so that it isn’t as sweet. Adding milk also decreases the sweetness and makes it richer. I’m planning to experiment with it over the summer by using it to make ice cream, shakes and other cold drinks. The plain chocolate and raspberry flavor might make good smoothies. It probably needs hot water to dissolve properly, but it can easily be cooled and then refrigerated for use later, especially if you make some in the morning for use later in the day. The package I received had three boxes with twelve packets per box. The boxes have sections that can be removed to make access easier and storage simpler. They all have expiration dates over a year away. The smaller boxes that I bought locally had recipes on the boxes. These don’t, but the recipes are probably available online under the brand information. The raspberry flavor has an interesting mug cake recipe that I haven’t tried yet. I can’t imagine anyone not liking at least one flavor of this brand because it’s so easy to prepare and so easy to control the level of sweetness. It’s smooth and not gritty, but you can allow a little to settle at the bottom for a blast of delicious flavor at the very end. That’s my favorite part.

When they were known as Land O Lakes branded hot chocolate packets, we loved them. The new name does not mean new flavor. We still love this blend of chocolate and raspberry! Worth every penny for a thick hot chocolate that smells and tastes amazing!

Absolutely love! The arctic white and the caramel are my favorite flavors. I always mix them and it is the best cocoa ever!
