It blends the professional power of Sony’s Cinema Line with the portability of a mirrorless camera, and it truly delivers. The 12.1MP Full-Frame Exmor R BSI Sensor is outstanding in low light—footage is clean, sharp, and cinematic even in challenging conditions. Colors look natural and rich, and the dynamic range gives me so much flexibility in post-production. What I really appreciate is the cinema-focused design: top handle with XLR inputs, intuitive button layout, and fan cooling so it can record long sessions without overheating. The compact form factor makes it perfect for handheld shooting, gimbals, and travel—yet it still feels like a true cinema camera. Autofocus is incredibly reliable, especially with face and eye detection, which saves so much time during shoots. The dual card slots, long battery life, and professional codec options (including S-Log3 and 10-bit 4:2:2) make it a powerhouse for serious filmmakers. In short, the FX3 is a cinema-grade camera in a small, versatile package. It’s perfect for creators who want uncompromising image quality without being weighed down by a huge rig.
