I’m 5’9 and 180 lbs and I currently wear a 12/14 in most pants (34in waist, 47in hips). I purchased the XX-Large to give myself more room, and they fit perfectly!The compression isn’t too extreme— they’re very comfortable. The black with pockets is very opaque, so you shouldn't have any problem with them being see-through while you're exercising. They’re also pretty good for wearing under dresses. The waistband doesn't roll down, even while stretching/jumping around, and the legs don't roll up (!!) which is pretty awesome for shorts like this.The pockets are big enough for an iPhone, but not quite big enough to fit a water bottle if you're regularly trying to fit water bottles in your pocket. :PIf you found my review helpful, I'd be super grateful if let Amazon know by clicking the 'helpful' button!

This is my first review ever (I love these so much and want everyone to get them/life changing if you like bike shorts with compression) & I’ve been with Amazon since prime started. Best compression workout shorts out there! They stay where they are supposed to. No riding down from the waist or up on the leg. I love them and will continue to buy them.

these are great compression shorts. I just got surgery and they've been helping a lot with blood circulation! They're tight but still comfortable enough to wear around. Definitely good for wearing while doing errands and going to the gym. I have slept in them too!highly recommend.(i'm a size ten and I got a size medium if anyone needs a sizing reference)

I just started wearing compression shorts to add compression to my thighs, due to a hip problem. These are the best ones I've tried. The fabric is hefty, they are well made, and the fit is perfect. I am 5'7" and weigh about 120. I followed the suggestion on the website and ordered up a size, to a large. That was the correct size.

I'm a small person (4'11, 95lbs), so finding compression shorts that fit like shorts is difficult for me. The XS fit perfectly. The material is also good for moisture-wicking, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that these pockets are functional! I originally bought this for my Edward (from Cowboy Beebop) costume, but I've been wearing them to my exercise classes. I definitely recommend these.

I purchased for my daughter who was granted a scholarship from The Puerto Rican Parade Foundation which she had to march in parade in NYC on 5th Avenue. It was 33 blocks she had to march and needed comfort and I purchased these exercise shorts. She told me they were PHENOMENAL a lifesaver due to the comfort of wearing them. Per her review of her experience wearing them I would highly recommend them.

Love the fabric, great stretch material. Comfortable, but provide decent compression while working out. Wore for first time, and did hard leg workout at gym. Shorts stayed in place for most part, didn’t ride up or fold over. I’m size med and ordered Lg. Med def wouldn’t have fit. I’m 5’7/132 lbs. Got grey and just ordered in black.
