Used to test vehicle fuel gauge
I used this (along with a set of alligator clip connector wires) to test my fuel gauge before I went to the trouble of dropping the fuel tank to replace the sending unit. I realize this is a 'unique' use, but it served me well and will stay in my electrical tool kit for other uses that come up.

It's a potentiometer
Haven't had any issues, but project I installed it in is not finished. So no complaints as of yet. Will change rating if a problem arises with part.
