Escalon 6 in 1 All Purpose Ground Tomatoes, 6 lb 9 oz Can

I am into canning and these cans of tomatoes can make the job a lot easier. Good quality, you’re not getting scrap pieces of tomatoes. Good taste.

My family has been using these canned pureed tomatoes for generations. My grandmother taught me how to make sauce with these. Great flavor, good product. Didnt notice a change when they were bought by the big corporation. There are six VARIETIES of tomatoes in this product. Noticed some negative comments about 6 CANS. Keep it up Heinz! Great product!

I already did this review once; I guess because I included the PRICE-?? they wouldn't accept it. The POINT I was making, was IN THE TITLE--it says "PACK OF 6". In ENGLISH, that means there are SIX to a PACK or BOX that I was expecting to receive. I only received ONE for the PRICE that I paid--NOT worth it. YES, it is a big can--but it was also VERY dented--I already took pictures and sent them in. So as GOOD as this can of tomatoes may be taste-wise, it is isn't worth getting when it's only ONE can.

I am sure not many people buy no.10 cans for home use, but I wanted to build a stash of sauce, and have some as back up in my storage. The denting every other month is pretty crazy. Out of 12 cans, I can usually stash 3-4, the rest need to be dealt with immediately and turned into canned sauces for the food shelf. A Tad Frustrating. Great product though, the tomatoes have a great acidity and make a wonderful sauce for me.

I don’t know how they do it every single time, but this is a tomato product with flavor that surpasses the rest. I used this in my pizza shop for 17 years and it was the secret to my sauce. Thick and rich with a bright full flavor. I’m retired and the only place I see 6 in 1 is on Amazon so that’s where I buy it.

I live alone and I am on a very tight budget. What I do Is buy this Big Can. And I make a sauce and either can it, or freeze in one cup servings. So anytime I want or need sauce. I have it.Also I have a dehydrator, I am going to dehydrate some and make a powder, then just add a tablespoon to a cup of water. Or more or less to find the right consistency I need. I hope this helps someone. Also I believe the 6 in 1 is just a name. Because I only get 1 can. But I believe It has 106 oz.s . And to me That’s a deal. And If you subscribe you pay even less. I am definitely satisfied with this product of canned tomatoes.
