Clarks Men's Suede Desert Boots

Bought for my 16 year old son who already has a pair of black desert boots from a different manufacturer as cheaper. These were actually cheaper than Clarks's normal going rate so excellent value ,arrived quickly . Big difference in the quality , look better quality suede and stitching and more importantly have a better foot shape (not as pointed at toe) so improved look and more comfortable .

The quality of the shoes is as expected but its a little bit too big, it doesn't fit perfectly as the ones I have in the same size.

I've had these for about two months now, and I'm very happy with them. I've worn them a fair amount, probably twice a week. They do mark easily but the beeswax quickly works its way around and for the most part you can't see the marks anymore. The colour is a deep, even brown. The picture is pretty accurate. The fit is fine, perhaps just a little large. I wear UK11 normally and ordered UK11. I'm not sure if size 10 would be comfortable or not, but I never considered returning them. They took about a month to wear in, and gave me blisters on the back and sides of my ankle on the first few wears. To avoid this wear socks that will cover your ankle. Now they're worn in they're very comfortable. I've walked miles at a time in them with no troubles at all. To give you an idea of how versatile these boots are, I've worn them to a wedding, cycled 10 miles to work with footstraps, trekked miles through scrubby underbrush, soaked them in beer on nights out and got them wet boating down an underground river. They've been a good choice for all these activities and whatever battering they've taken in the process has only added to their character. They still look and feel great.

I've worn these Desert Boots since the '80's and In my experience they never change. Great fit, comfort and durability along with iconic style. Perfect.

La couleur était différente de celle des photos publiées et annoncèrent ( gris au lieu de marron). Le reste ok.

Ho 52 anni e compro Clarks Desert Boot da almeno 35! E' però la prima volta che le acquisto in pelle ed ho scelto questa finitura Beeswax. Queste Clarks sono letteralmente affascinanti e sono sicuro che col passare del tempo, usate con la dovuta cura, diventeranno ancora più belle. Spero che la loro tradizionale, inconfondibile suola di para resista il più possibile (mi raccomando: nei mesi più caldi è bene riporle nella propria scatola e conservarle in luogo fresco), ma quando sarà finita troverò un bravo calzolaio per farle risuolare. Un modello praticamente mitico, immortale, che io consiglio a chi ama le Desert Boot di Clarks, privilegiando lo stile sobrio e comodo alle esasperate tendenze nella moda. Infine è vero il parere che avevo letto, anche se a volte discordante: mezzo numero in meno è la misura perfetta, nel mio caso 42 invece di 42,5. Il tempo mi darà ragione e spero anche soddisfazione.

On va certainement me rétorquer : Des desert boots, c'est pour le désert ! Oui, c'est vrai, mais dans ce cas, qu'il soit dit clairement : "ces chaussures ne sont pas imperméables !" parce que bon, dans nos contrées (la partie nord de la France), avoir des chaussures qui ne sont pas imperméables, c'est quand même faire un pari pouvant se solder par une journée entière les pieds mouillées ! (ce qui m'est arrivé plusieurs fois...) Pourtant, elles sont en cuir ! Pourtant, je les imperméabilisées (avec de la cire d'abeille, puis un produit en spray imperméabilisant) ! Et malgrès tout, il suffit d'un sol un peu mouillé, d'une petite averse du matin, par forcément prévue, et c'est le drame : une journée normale devient bien pourrie à cause de ces chaussures au design soignée, très belles (pour ça, j'ai mis 2 étoiles), mais destinées au désert ! dommage, je n'ai pas prévu d'y vivre dans les 20 prochaines années...
