Finally Got One!
Watch you tube videos for proper instructions on use, then practice. 70's funk music had these sounds not made by synths.

Order the larger one
Wish I would have ordered the larger one. This one sounds okay, but I think the larger one is easier to play and has a richer tone.

definitely one of my favorite Perc. toys
These are ALWAYS a crowd pleaser. Such a toy to add to the collection. Only issue is the arms with the beater on them are very fragile. Other than that, definitely one of my favorite Perc. toys!

will be a great addition to my chinese opera gongs
the sound is more fun than i recall! this will be a great addition to my set of chinese opera gongs that i bought in beijing last year. the tone goes up or down on those gongs, and i can do the same with the flexatone. there was a flexatone fad during the 70s in disco and jazz. now i've got to dig through my albums to find those songs!
