I was hesitant to get it because the reviews were either that it was fantastic or didn’t work at all, but when I saw the review from somebody saying that they finally contacted ninja because their blender just wasn’t working properly and they took care of it I decided to make the purchase. And I'm glad I did because I LOVE this blender! Cons: 1. doesn't fit in my cup holder. Like at all. I've got a Dodge Charger for reference and it simply doesn't fit which is a bit of a bummer but oh well. 2. Kind of a ***** to clean. as one person said, the blades are attached so you can't remove them to clean, and the base has electronics in it cuz duh so you can’t get it wet to clean it also because duh. It makes trying to clean it a bit tedious, especially if you don't clean it right away. I got this because I didn’t have time to make and eat lunch while at work (I don't get a lunch break. I'm supposed to eat in between customers) so after I finish my smoothie sometimes I literally don’t have any time to clean it until the end of the workday after we are closed so it’s been sitting for hours with nothing in it. at that point the smoothie residue is stuck onto the plastic and I have to actually scrub it to get it clean. The clear plastic blender cup isn't bad because that can be removed and cleaned but since you can’t stick the bottom part in water, it takes forever to clean it with a damp cloth. That rubber seal on the bottom in particular is not fun to clean, food gets in the grooves and there's a BLADE in the way when you're trying to clean it. the blade isn’t super sharp per se so I’m not getting cut but it’s still in the way and I'm sure I COULD get cut if I wasn't paying attention. Pros: it DEFINITELY lasts longer than one smoothie. I literally used it 8 times in three days: 1. Tested it once with nothing in it 2. Made a smoothie with banana almond milk fresh fruits and a scoop of protein powder for dinner. Blended it twice actually because I was scared of overfilling it so I underfilled it and added more. DAY TWO 3. Made a smoothie with banana almond milk frozen fruits and protein powder for breakfast 4. I saw someone say that they cleaned it by running it with soapy water in it so I tried that. Didn't really work, because of the cleaning the base issues I mentioned. 5. Made a smoothie with coffee, creamer, half and half, a scoop of peanut butter/hazelnut spread, one banana, and 7 ice cubes to take after work to my next job. DAY THREE I made a smoothie with banana almond milk protein powder and frozen fruit for breakfast. I OVER filled it (lol) and jammed the blades so it took a lot of shaking and restarting the cycle to get it to blend completely. At this point the yellow recharge light came on and I recharged it. It's definitely strong enough to deal with ice and frozen fruit and lasts longer than one smoothie. if yours isn’t, I would contact ninja and talk to them about it. Definitely recommended! I'm thinking about ordering the pink one too, pink and purple are my favorite colors lol and then I could have a lunch AND dinner smoothie ready. My only concern is if this is fridge safe. If I prepped a smoothie I'd definitely want to keep it in a fridge or even the freezer to keep it from going bad, but since the base is not removable from the cup I'm not sure it can be stored in the fridge safely.

Okay, I waited to write this review until after I’d had it for at least a month and multiple uses (every morning for the last month). I wanted so badly to love this. I ignored some of the negative reviews and wish I hadn’t. I’ve been on a smoothie kick and my husband surprised me with it as I’ve been talking about it. I love the concept of portable, easy for on the go. Just throwing my stuff in there and blending while in the car, perfect, just what I needed as a mom of twins and always on the go. If you have frozen fruit you can almost forget it as it gets “caught” on the blades and immediately stops. So more times than not I have to flip it upside down to “fix it” and it doesn’t seem powerful enough to catch all of the fruit so I have to shake it while it’s blending to try and get all of the fruit and there is still chunks of frozen fruit. Mind you I have also played with adding more liquid as well to see if that helped, it didn’t and then my smoothie is more liquid than fruit/smoothie. Battery life is not the best. It’s not terrible but certainly not great. It cleans easily as all of the pieces come apart. Like I said as much as I wanted to love it I just don’t. And it CERTAINLY was not worth the price. Went out and bought a magic bullet tonight at Walmart for $21 and it works TEN TIMES better 😩 I will continue to use it until it goes out as my husband was so thoughtful and bought it for me, but definitely save your money and buy the magic bullet instead, seriously.

Works great- also the directions on the side were really helpful. But came really dirty. For a new product, it should have came clean and fresh. Not a big fuss since I cleaned it up- but smelled kinda funky as well. Washed the top part and lid in hot water to sanitize and also the blades as well just in case.
