what's the difference between safe-instant yeast and safe-instant yeast gold?

i use safe instant yeast (red label ) for regular bread doughs and Saf (gold ) for sweet bread doughs, sweet rolls, donuts etc.

When is the expire date of this yeast?

Usually printed on the package. Once opened, I store mine in a mason jar (with lid!) in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. I'm new to SAF Gold but use their regular yeast and have had no problems even two years later. I'd test some in a little water to see if it 'fizzes'. With any instant yeast, do NOT let it develop in warm milk/water/etc. It is mixed with the flour. Hope this helps.

is these package change looking? it's not the same looking with the picture online.

I have seen LeSaffre-Saf yeast in two types: a "standard" yeast in a red colored package and a "high sugar" yeast in a yellow or gold type package. Both would work. The high sugar yeast is for better performance in products that typically have a sugar level in excess of 5% (See/query "bakers percentage"....)

Why is the expiration date on a sticker, not printer directly on the package?

All the 16 oz SAF yeast packages I have purchased have the date of manufacture and the expiration date printed on the package. Do not know why its on a sticker unless they have started up some older packaging equipment to meet demand. Flour sales in the US has increased 20-30% in the last few months and so has yeast.
