Black Lion Audio PG-P Plus Portable Power Conditioner and Surge Protector

I consider myself a new dj and was recommended that I must get a power conditioner to protect my gear. I currently don’t have enough money for a rack version, so this is PERFECT and convenient! It feels pretty durable with its metal chassis. The lcd on the front tells me the power wattage and if it’s grounded - which is important for protecting my gear from possible outages or surges. I haven’t tested it with my speakers yet but I’ve heard that it cuts the low rumble noise so that’s a plus! The cord surprised me honestly lol. It is longer than expected and I am very happy with my buy.

So originally I went to my local neighborhood W*rst Buy and purchased some 🚀 🐟 product. Big mistake, called a buddy of mine and he recommended this product. I have used Furmann products in the past as well, but for the money, this one can not be beat. I highly recommend.

Make sure your plug is grounded first .. This item will not work correct and you wont be protected if your plug is not grounded ... I really like the long cord on this which makes it easy to use and to place .. its built like a tank and got some wight to it .. i highy recommend it

I didn't have a pre-existing issue such as poor utility power, but I'm aware of musicians relying on these to protect their gear moving from one venue to another, and many with those have poor power quality, old wiring infrastructure, etc. I have opened one of these up and I'm satisfied there's substantial Hardware in here, well beyond the power strip high frequency filtering, high quality capacitors, etc. Longevity of my equipment and peace of mind is the premise. I think these particular models are worth exactly what the price is, no more and no less. Premium Power conditioners with voltage regulation are available for a higher price point, but we're leaving any interference from, and electrical fatigue from the input source to my equipment was the goal and this fits the bill. One thing I take issue with is the torsion place on the board because one corner of it is pulled down to the switch, internally, don't think that stress on the circuit board is any good. The mounting posts inside the enclosure for the main board are uneven and do not accommodate the switch properly, they should shorten the posts or extend the legs of the switch instead of pulling the board down with a screw. Any Engineers that are reading this will know what I'm talking about.

Black Lion audio products never disappoint! This thing is a beast for a wall plugin power conditioner. Much bigger than the pictures portray. I can highly recommend it!

I was getting a loud pop from the speakers when a nearby light was switched on or off. No more pops using the Black Lion Audio PG-P Plus. Audio fidelity improved...

Looks well built. Have not had the opportunity to test under live conditions yet. Hope it will do the job as advertised.
