Works, just works - UPDATED TAKING 2 STAR OFF
UPDATE:I needed to purchase this again for another roof… And it was just incredibly frustrating… So much so I’m taking off two stars. I don’t know if they changed manufacturers of the bottle or maybe I just got a lemon… But the sprayer part of the bottle just broke horribly… First the holes popped off several times, causing me to have to lower the pressure… Which was fine… But then, with even lower pressure, the actual white lead in part started to leak all over the place… I got more of the stuff on me and in my mouth then I got on the roof… Lord knows what this does to your body… There was really no reason this item should have broken apart, so badly under water pressure that was really quite low… I mean you need a certain amount of water pressure to spray a roof and this just couldn’t handle the water pressure. So I have had to re-purchase it again because I really don’t think I got much chemical on the roof which means I basically threw away about 20 bucks… And I’m not particularly confident that this new bottle won’t break as well. It’s past the return. So I can’t return it and even if I could, it’s pretty much empty so I don’t think I could get my money back anyway… Making a decent spray bottle is not hard I use lots of other products that do the same sort of hose connection Thing and none have ever giving me a problem… basically it seems to me that they’re trying to cut corners to save a buck and it’s really to the detriment of the product.I guess I still recommend the actual product but I don’t know if I would recommend buying it in this form… Maybe buy the pellets or the stuff you can add to a aftermarket sprayer. In any case it cost me 20 bucks (assuming the next Bottle works), and for me that’s enough to take off two stars.ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 stars):Spray from the top of the roof (accross first and only then downward). This ensures the rain will do the work for you if you happen to run low. This bottle just barely covered a 24x60 foot roof edge to edge, top to bottom. (one half of a standard raised ranch).Luckily only one sude needed treatment as the other side is not shaded.Within a few days 15 years of moss was almost completely gone.

Cover your face
I used this to clear the mold on the north side of my roof and it worked as I expected, only had one problem as I was doing one end of the roof a wind blew it back into my face, I was wearing safety glasses so no problem there but I did get a very small amount in my mouth, I flushed it out and had no effects from it but I would seriously recommend wearing a face shield when using this stuff, there was no wind that day and I was really taken by surprise by the gust of wind, next time I'll know better.

Quickly killed the thick bed of moss on my roof
The reviews for this were kind of mixed when I bought it, so my expectations were low. However, the reviews for ALL moss control sprays are pretty mixed, so I went with this one because a review mentioned good spray distance. My roof is steeply slanted and hard to get to, AND I have a fear of heights, so doing this from a distance was a big priority for me!So here's the breakdown:DID IT WORK?Yes! I had a thick carpet of moss on a sheltered area of my roof that was probably an inch thick at its thickest. Gave it a good spray down with this stuff via the hose attachment. Within about 73-96 hours, all the moss had turned brown and died. It's now several weeks later and it's still dead. (The downside, of course, is that I have to figure out how to scrape all the dead stuff off the roof!)HOW WAS THE SPRAYING?Pretty good! Fit easily on my standard garden hose. I had to spray about 1/3 up the height of a steep second story roof, on a house with a four-foot tall foundation. This was just on the very outer limit of the spray's reach with the hose on full blast, so I'd estimate I was getting 15 to 20 feet of spray distance, much of that vertical or at a 45-degree angle. Not bad! And the coverage was pretty good.HOW MUCH DID I USE?About 2/3 of the bottle, though in retrospect I could have used just half and gotten the job done. This covered a roughly 5' x 15' patch of roof.DID IT KILL ANYTHING ELSE?Nope. All the turf at the foundation of the house is still alive. Drippage did not kill anything. Only the miss died.Bottom line, I'd buy this again if my roof moss problems returned.

Kills everything...and I mean EVERYTHING!
OK, so....does it kill moss? You better believe it...it kills the hell out of it. The problem is it also kills every other single living organism...plant or animal...that it comes in contact with. I, perhaps foolishly, thought this stuff would kill ONLY moss, considering it's called "Moss Out". So, yes, within a few hours, the moss was already turning brown. Unfortunately, so was all of the lawn at the perimeter of the patio, which is now completely dead. If I had known this was how the product would work, I would have save some time, grabbed the gasoline can from my garage, and just poured gasoline all over the back yard, and the effect would have been similar. The moss would be dead, as would everything else. Soooo...if you have moss growing on or near something that is NOT alive, then go for it...this product kicks ass. However, if you, like me, have a plant or some grass or something in your yard near your patio....just save yourself some money and light your back yard on fire. That'll kill moss too, and you won't have to wait for 2 day's shipping....

Easy to use
It produces a nice light sprinkle when attached to a hose. I was able to spray my one-story garage roof without needing a ladder. Although I wasn’t studying the roof for signs of progress later that day or even the next day, I could certainly tell within a couple days that the moss had turned a yellowish brown. Now that a couple weeks have passed, I’m reasonably confident that it was successfully killed. It’s still there (it doesn’t magically fall off), but it’s dead. I expect that with considerable time, it’ll break down and slowly disintegrate. The roof is really too steep for me to want to climb up there and scrape it off myself. I’m pleased with how easy and effective it was.
