Great product with great coverage

"I'm absolutely thrilled with the Rustins MPBK500 Metal Paint! I used it to repaint my beloved, but very worn, cast iron garden bench. The application was smooth, and the paint itself has excellent coverage. The deep black colour looks incredibly smart and has truly revived the bench, making it a focal point in the garden once again. It feels like I have a brand new bench! Definitely worth it."

A little watery and needed more coats than I had planned but ended up with lovely finish

Bought a can of dark green paint to regenerate an old lawn roller. This paint is fantastic, after sanding I painted the roller twice but I doubt if it really needed a second coat. The paint dried fast but not too fast and the colour looks fab. Brush was easy to clean in water.

Repainted my railings with this great paint. Unlike the Hammerite paint I used previously, which was like working with treacle, this went on silky smooth. It's easy to work with, dries quickly (but not too quickly), can be recoated within an hour or so and has a great satin sheen rather than full gloss. The railings feel much nicer to the touch now too. Some reviews mention that it's thin or runny, but I found the consistency to be just right as you don't need to load your brush too much and a little goes a long way. I'd certainly rather have this than the thicker viscosity paint that I'd previously used. It took two coats over bare metal and one over previous paint (which I just scuff sanded to key the surface). But as it dried quickly I got it all done in half a day anyway.

I really wanted to rate this higher, but there were too many things not quite right, which I was shocked by given the Rustins brand. Firstly, when you advertise a paint as green, and have a green "colour" sample on the front of it, the paint should be green, not a blue/green. Secondly, and perhaps this is due to the "quick dry" formula, but if you try to be light handed with the paint so as to avoid blobs/runs, the paint contracts and leaves unpainted areas. If you are a little heavier with the paint to counteract this, the paint has a tendency to blob, which then cracks and looks poor. All together not easy to apply. Lastly, even after taking the time to prepare the metal correctly, I still ended up with a weird yellow dotting on the first coat, meaning between that and the poor finish I had to put a thick second coat on leading to a loss of detail on the painted item. Initially, the paint seemed good value for money with the size of the tin, but with all the issues above I would just buy the more expensive competitors paint next time.

Does what it says on the tin! Good colour match for my chicken run so blends in perfect! Seems high quality and covers well. Not badly priced and does the job with no textures

The paint goes on smoothly and evenly, with excellent coverage. I found that one coat was often sufficient for solid color coverage, but a second coat definitely enhanced the finish and durability. The quick-drying formula is a standout feature; I was able to handle and apply subsequent coats in a minimal amount of time, which made the entire process much more efficient.

j ai acheté plusieurs litres et j ai peint mes murs de jardin et les fenetres en bois,c est une très bonne peinture à l eau en plus pas d odeurs et du nettoyage difficile,c est vrai que son utilisation en annonce c est pour le métal ,apparemment moins bonne en lisant d autres commentaires

Compré el bote más pequeñito pensando que al final, me iba a faltar y para nada...! La pintura se extiende perfectamente y cubre muy bien los metales. Cunde muchísimo y aunque parece bastante líquida después se adhiere muy bien y es densa sobre la superficie. Use una brocha normal de las baratitas y no tuve ningún problema a la hora extender la pintura o de que surgieran después algunas imperfecciones. Sin duda si necesito otra vez pintura para cualquier metal, volvería a comprar está marca, ya que me ha sorprendido gratamente el resultado. Pinté la barandilla y unas piezas metálicas del pasamano. en mi caso aunque cubrí colores como verde y gris no tuve que darle una doble mano ya que con la primera capa quedó perfecto. Todavía me queda casi medio bote 😉

Mi è sembrato uno smalto bianco normalissimo, di metallizzato non ha nulla. Poco coprente, bisogna dare almeno tre mani.
