Regulated !
Very good, easy to use, and they fit into a bread board easily.

Uses Linear Regulator
This product uses a linear regulator so gets very hot if supplied with 12v. I found it OK up to about 6v only

I wish I'd read the other reviews.I needed to step down from 12v to 3.3v for an Arduino Mini Pro. I tested the unit first and it output 3.3v, but after about ten minutes I saw a wisp of smoke from the Arduino and the board died as the module failed and let the full 12v pass. I built a replacement unit with a new voltage regulator and a new Arduino and the same thing happened again.Completely useless.

Inaccurate advertising
This product is advertised as being able to step down 12 volts to 3.3 volts. Upon plugging this module in to power an ESP01 (esp8266) it proceeded to kill the board instantly. When probing with a multimeter it was clear to see the full 12 volts being passed directly to the ESP board.

DO NOT BUY THESE "REGULATORS"!
4 out of 5 of these output THE FULL input voltage!Cheap Chinese imported rubbish. Glad I bench tested these before fitting to my project modules!I strongly advise anyone NOT to buy these units if they value their project or sanity.
