Very tight fit.
These bits are better quality than the factory original's. 6mm DR Grabow and Medico pipe filters fit inside the stem perfect.I use paper filters.With force they will go inside the pipe stem. I intend to sand with fine sandpaper to attain a better fit.The stem will only go about 1/4 inch inside the pipe.I think with some light sanding it will work. I'd rather have a tight fit than a loose one.

The stems were shorter than expected. I have no use for them

Nice improvement
These pipe stems are a nice improvement over those that come with Missouri Meerschaum pipes. These are a little longer and more substantial and even look better. I have one in my corn-cob pipe and one in my hardwood Missouri Meerschaum. They accommodate 6mm balsam and charcoal filters.

I did not know how durable these were going to be. Buy them.
