Bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it! Very unique and even though it's a bit rustic, that's entirely part of its appeal. The padlock that came with it is exactly what he was looking for-and it came packaged separately. Also, it comes with 2 keys. Very neat little journal.

It's hard cover, smells bad, and the lock came damaged

this journal "with a lock" is the cheapest looking item ive ever had the misfortune of buying. the plastic wrapping on the outside was torn on both ends, the journal is cracking on the sides of it, the paper has black leather stain all over it, and the inside looks like a toddler painted it. i honestly cant tell you how dissapointed i am with this product. i bought this to give my family member as a gift for christmas, and if i gave it to them, it would look like a joke. im being so for real when i tell yall this book is the cheapest looking item you could ever buy. i dont usually write reviews on products, so this is new for me, but please, dont waste your money on this. i dont have a present for my loved one now and im extremely dissapointed. it doesnt come with a lock or key by the way, and the middle of this book is held together by cheap yarn that isnt even cut to make it look presentable. absolutely a trash item. spend your money elsewhere. i would rather waste my money on 1,000 lottery tickets and never win anything back then buy this. it came with dirt on the top of it too. this is just sad.

Perfect

I gave this to my grandson for his 11 th birthday. I wrote a nice note/dedication and gave it to him when we were alone (didn’t want him embarrassed in front of birthday crowd) He loved it!! He writes in it regularly and will share a few pages on occasion with me. Keeps it hid from younger brother. I’m glad I made this purchase. The book is nicely done and looks like a treasure book.

The journal came and the little box that the lock comes in was completely smushed and the lock was missing. When opening the journal package, you can see that the lock on the journal is crooked and upon opening the journal pages were crumpled and bent. The journal itself also does not feel very sturdy.overall the look is nice but I'm not sure how long this will hold.

Looks better quality than it really is cheaply made falls apart

The leather had a bloom over it and paper was damp. Seller would not have realised as it was sealed. As it was so cheap I just binned it and bought one elsewhere. I do not want seller to get a bad rating for this
